I was going to buy a HF100, how does this compare

i believe the biggest difference is that the hf100 is flash based as where the hv is mini dv. one of the reasons i went with the hv is i kept reading how the flash based cameras would lock up and almost have problems storing everything. here are some cnet reviews.

So you can use SD cards to record with this or mini dvs? Or is the SD card slot just for pics?
