F1 racing clutch?

has anyone heard of or used one of these F1 racing clutch’s? claims to be good for 389hp and has a Torque Capacity of 363 ft/lbs. they come pretty cheap, about $170 shipped, includes F1 Racing Stage 3 Heavy-Duty Pressure Plate, F1 Racing Stage 3 Copper Ceramic 6-puck Disc (240mm, 24 spline), Release Bearing, Pilot Bushing, Alignment Tool, and Instruction Manual. price seems a little too good to be true lol

back to the original question
i came across this package not too long ago myself. but like yourself, i was very hesitant due to the crazy price. if you end up picking it up lemme know how it goes

lol, id rather get some feedback b4 making a purchase.

these clutches are not good. They are known to literally explode in ur transmission ruining it. I wouldnt recommend buying one. If ur looking for an OEM Ka clutch the the your better off getting the exedy off ebay. I got one for 150 shipped. its now in gtchampions car and he hasnt had any issues.

If ur looking for a high hp sr clutch, get a name brand. you get what u pay for.

i thought so, thanks

go to eurodrive man. dirt cheap clutches made to handle what ur lookn for. and they are burlington off plains. i have done many cars using there clutches and havent had a problem or one slip up with them. the only thing is they need the one u got. so i get a spare or take urs out and ull be down a day or so. they also offer cavlar and ceramic too.

sil8t, what kind of pricing do they have on a oem replacement clutch?

We have dealt with the folks at eurodrive before with the clutch thats in canadiandrifter240sx’s car. His was actually quite expensive. I think after everything it came to about 400$. Its been ok, a few times it would slip and make some pretty funny noises but they do somehow go away.

I don’t like the feel of it that much its to soft for me but it grabs ok, and 3rd gear burnouts may make it slip a little bit. For the price i would say get a centerforce or something. Eurodrive does do fuel injectors though and can make stock KA injectors bigger in size, which impressed the hell out of me.

F1 racing clutches suck as i put one in a rb and it felt like absolute crap, definetally would’nt get one of those. if you want a real cheap clutch that works pretty good get the XTD 6 puck clutch which has proven to be pretty good under high loads but will only last one season of hard driving.

my 2 cents.

Yeah, my clutch from eurodrive cost me $475 after tax. I could have bought a brand name clutch instead. However, I went to eurodrive for convenience.

i bought my ACT stage 2 clutch for $450ish tax in everything for my KA

good clutch, stiffer than stock.

clutch kick all day long

the RPS i got is worth like 400 bucks and is way better than a eurodrive clutch. Since the use all your stock parts and give you all stock parts back. Go to canadian tire and get a stock clutch brand new for like 170 bucks.

With a clutch i never cheap out though. I rather go hard on it for a couple seasons and then change it rather than changing it every season. The guy at eurodrive definatelly knows what hes talking about when it comes to clutches though…and he certainly likes to talk.

You gotta clutch kick to keep power to that thing samson…get a freekin turbo FFS. S1DC will let you roll with them if u do

^^ hahah ya i think its time to move forward and pass the 130whp mark

and third gear is much more fun

FYI Bobby, they can’t resize the KA jectors.

and CenterForce is great, I will not get anything different. Next one, however, will be the dual friction. The one in there now is a stageII and hasn’t slipped once.

when i was there he said he could…or did you go there and try to get yours done?

Yeah man, I dropped them off and he said that he couldn’t do them. The pintle size was not available or some shit. I did have my 370’s cleaned, refurbished with new Orings and screens and flowed. They did a great job on them and I would not install a single used injector in my car without getting that done.

how much did it cost, i may get that done this year. I didnt do it when i bought them but i plan on going more power next year if money is there. Call me or something so we dont keep making this thread so long with info that has nothing to do with this thread.

Sorry Khoolie…lol
