Seriously spilner how can you comment if you never drove a car with it.
And with all the negative things about CP I would be cautious in purchasing something like a clutch.
Andrew.

my thoughts exactly. i cant get ahold of nik. anyone else use one?
well im almost 100% sure that CP doesnt make their own clutches on location at their facility! They are most likely getting their clutches from a outsource company such as Euro-Drive in hamilton, if that is the case and they are getting them from euro drive i would definately say get one, i have had 2 clutches from them and they were fucking amazing, i had one on mk3 supra and one on my current 240sx, and there sweet, what kind of price are u getting from CP, if u are interested in a good clutch for your car go see euro-drive if the one CP has is not made by them,
oh ya just a little secret euro drive used to sell Bully Clutches parts to them
Yes, they do get from Euro-Drive. I got my ceramic clutch for my sr from Euro and it’s cheaper than going CP. Go to the source.
well in that case i would say i havent seen a better clutch, ive seen them last longer on setups than ACT, centerfarce, and exedy, and i have certainly seen them hold more power, now i cant give a comparison to to the twin disc or triple disc clutches out there but what i can say is they out perform many of the clutches of the same style and type eg single disc ceramic, dual diaphragm, and so on
thanks hector. ill check them out. oh and mms how do you like the clutch?
no problem, i love my clutch by the way, now if i could get her too slip i could get that oh so wonderful smell

agreed with ssasahas 100%
get a real clutch.
This is mine, I ordered it from CP. I knew they were outsourcing it somewhere, but didn’t know where, so I went through them.
Anyway, the clutch is great, feels almost stock when feathering it during city driving due to the sprung hub. Yet, it grabs firmly when dropped. As you can see it has 4 copper ceramic pucks, able to hold approx. 350 ft. lbs. I paid $425 CDN (taxes and shipping in) for the disc and fresh pressure plate.
Pic:
call me next time i caqn set u up with a wayyyy better deal
Ya ouch I can get a Centerforce II clutch with pressure plate and throwout bearing for about 350CND.
so how do i go about getting these deals?
Do a lot of research when purchasing a clutch. Don’t get anything overkill because it’s pointless. You don’t want to end up pulling it back out if it fails, or just doesn’t suit your application needs.
Too soft of a clutch will slip everytime you step on the throttle, and too harsh of a clutch will making driving miserable, noisy, and your girlfriend won’t give you any action cuz she’s had enough whiplash for a day.
I used centerforce clutches in the past (on Honda’s), and find that the frictoin material is usually thinner than that found on the OEM application and wore out pretty quickly. The pedal feel was pretty good, but eventually the spring on the hub failed due to overheating and popped out causing it to eat my fidenza flywheel.
I’m quite fond of the ACT extreme clutches. This will really give your leg a workout in traffic, and engagement is golden. The clutch will pretty much hold whatever you throw at it, unless your running some bigass turbo or nitrous. Then your better off with a pucks.
Currently, I’m using a OS Giken sprung twinplate on a SR pushing about 300rwhp untuned. This thing is pimp, and throws you back into your seat shifting into 4th gear if you have enough power under the hood.
Slippage is non-existant, but you have to be carefull not to stall the car if the revs aren’t up. It chatters when not engaged, and makes baby jesus cry when your trying to backup park. This isn’t my daily driver, so I love it!
I’m sure this Eurodrive clutch is nice… but I get deals on ACT and Exedy as well if anyone needs a nicer clutch.
