I was in 2 last night. First time doing any fantasy leagues. I was out of the top 3 in both but picked up some pretty good players I think. Got Whitney for both but keeping him on bench. He’ll be a force when he returns in January (I hope).
I did alright, but the NHL is pretty deep talent wise, or at least outside of the top-10 players, there is more parity in the quality of players than say the NFL.
I had 1st pick, so of course I had to go with 87, but I also got Phil Kessel, Patrick Kane, Ryan Miller, Joe Sakic, Nik Antropov, Alexander Semin, and I’ll have to check on my others.
berad - Depends how deep your league is. How many guys were drafting? If it was 12 or less, Whitney isn’t really worth it. He’d be a better choice to try and sign later in the year.
Anyways, my league is a Rotisserrie league where you set your roster for the week by 7pm Sunday and those players play and count points all the way through 5pm the following sunday. It’s an overall points league, not a H2H league.
Points for Goals, assists, +/-, PPG, SHG, .2 for blocked shots, .1 for saves, 15 pts for a win for a goalie, 10 extra for a shutout.
