So, did anyone go see this? I went opening night with a crew to the Imax on Transit. Definitely not as car-themed as the rest of them, but in a way that made it better as a movie.

My brother in law went and said it was great. His opinion is highly suspect since he drives a V6 Mustang (not the new good one) and refuses to get rid of his old pile of shit Probe GT.

That said, I think I’m going to go check it out Wednesday. I enjoyed 1 and 4.

I saw it last night. It was good you just have to leave your brain at the door and just enjoy the action. Also, I just can’t take seriously any movie with The Rock in it. The whole time I’m waiting for him to give someone The People’s Elbow!

Ya, very unrealistic, a good movie, but wont fool any real car guy. Which is a shame, since the series is all about the cars really.

It is about the cars, but I felt that there weren’t enough car scenes in this one. And you’re right - the scene at the end with the Chargers was ridiculous.

they tried a different approach with the movie where i believe they are trying to get away from it being based around the whole care scene. you can only do so many stories that have to do with racing cars and stuff
