So, I was heading south on 279 - north of the city. I seen a dead body in the HOV lane right near northside. Anyone hear what happened? I didn’t see any wrecked cars but assuming thats what happened or maybe a pedestrian was hit? It was rather grusome.
When was this? I was on 279N headed to McKnight this morning around 7:15 - 7:30 and did not see anything. Didn’t see anything on KDKA either. Was there any police activity when you went by? You sure it was a dead body?

Man dies in apparent jump from Swindle Bridge into I-279 HOV lane

An unidentified man died this afternoon after apparently jumping from the Swindel Bridge into the Interstate 279 HOV lane.
Police said witnesses saw the man climb the bridge’s fence about 12:47 p.m. The bridge connects North Charles and Essen streets.
He was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s.
this was around 1pm. there were 10 or so state police officers and a few city. No doubt a dead body. I saw film crews starting to setup. Must have just happened b/c the blood was seaping through the white body cover…yummie.
