Few of my Grandpa's vehicles

These were all taken last spring/summer…Found them in my computer and thought I’d share.

This truck he bought and just dropped the BBC in it, and tossed the wheels on it.

This truck below was a ground up, frame off resto. It had no motor when I shot it, he dropped in a 427 and didn’t like it, it now has the heart of a 355.

This car below he bought to resell. It took him longer to sell than he expected, so he ended up taking it to fall carlisle with him and selling there. This also was a frame-up resto I guess, it’s the type of car they put mirrors under at shows. It has since been replaced with that orange colored '07 vert corvette.

The man can’t keep a vehicle for more than 6 months. Since I was 16 (I’m 21 now) I can remember him having a 69’ 442, '66 Impala, '62 belair, '71 Nova, '56 merc, '81 trans am, '93 vette, and a '70ish GTO.

Clean.

more info on the white truck? what’d it sell for? my grandpa used to have one that was just like it, mint, when he got old he ended up putting it for sale and getting taken for a ride, he sold it for way less than it was worth. someone got a good deal.

I Love the Stepside… that a '58? I’ve always wanted a '55 Stepside (main difference, dual headlights, not quads)

Jeller’s Grandpa > Your Grandpa

I think that it’s a 52 chevy. the frame was sand blasted and coated with a two part zinc epoxy. The body was mint, so he just resprayed it. all new painless wiring kit, brake lines, etc. with the 355 i think i heard him say he got near 20k for it. but he could have been talking about the 65 442 which sold for 18k. He referred to the he doesn’t talk much about money, he’s very modest, which is suprising considering he came from 8 siblings and extreme poverty.

those are very clean indeed…

Sit around and drive sweet cars and trucks ALL DAY.

Where is that thread?

BTW, your gramps has some nice rides. You don’t see cars like that in such good condition too often. I’m a stepside fan as well.

Any idea what he gave for the Red truck?
