in the 1st gen Stealth TT they seem to have a problem with cracking transfer cases.
not to piss on the parade, but I never really got that into the 3SI’s. Just too damn heavy and way too expensive to mod. They seem to have all the reliability problems of DSM’s, except unlike a DSM they are very expensive to fix. Ive beaten up on modded 3SI’s in my old talon. Anyone remember that yellowish one that supposedly had upgrader turbos and all that. It was down at Mt. Pleasant Wal-Mart the one night we were all up there. I got into it with him on the highway on the way home and gave him a bit of a spanking.
I think thats the kid i beat… not sure ITR41 should know…
I always liked 3SI’s though
it was that nasty yellow color. Not like canary yellow, more like urine after drinking a lot of energy drink yellow.
They are actually cheap to fix if you do your own work. There is a totalled one being parted out every week on the 3si boards. They are heavy at 3800lbs but Supras are pretty heavy too (along with Skylines and other cars in this class). I didnt buy this car to be the fastest car on the road, but I wanted an AWD turbo car that has the ability to keep up with some of the faster cars out there. I looked into Talon TSi’s, Eclipse GSX’s, Saab 9-3, 300ZX TT, 2nd gen RX7 turbo, Subaru SVX, Subaru WRX, Toyota All Trac Celica, and several other cars, but this was the best car for the price. I also liked being different since every other car I see around here is some kind of eclipse or an impreza. If you killed a stealth/3kgt TT, then you must have had some nice mods in the Talon. There are guys that run mid 12’s with the stock twins, and most that upgrade the turbo’s (with proper management and fueling) are in the 11’s and 10’s. Maybe that guys was BS’ing. I dunno but ever since I got this car I have had about 10-15 people telling me that they beat one. It gets old, especially because I owned a modded setra and beat plenty of cars I shouldnt have. In the end, the better driver has the advantage.
Drag racing is for fast cars
AutoX is for fast drivers
Me too, since I read about it in a mid 90’s issue of Turbo Magazine. I drove an 88 Sentra auto hatchback back then. My quarter mile time was probably in the minute range. My cars over the last 8 years have gotten better.
88 Sentra < 82 RX7 < 93 MX3 GS < 2001 Sentra SE < 93 Stealth TT
Oh, and a few subarus over the last 2 years for winter cars.
lets line em up
lol…
not a fair race at all.
The Stealth is more of a comfortable touring car.
After driving my friend’s R/T, the best comparison I can make is that it’s like driving a German sports sedan, not a muscle car.
what? you mean my cobra doesnt ride like a bmw? blasphemy!!!
fyi: the cobra is not a muscle car… its a road touring car as well
i bet it’s also a tractor pull if this guy challenged you
I cant gets no traction :(.
I was only messing with shaler’s comment anyway lol
what the fuck is a tractor pull?
is that a trailer?
