Finally installed Bing's Lip and rear valances

THE STICKERS MADE ME DO IT!!!1111 LOL.

Car looks good.

Damn, other than the aftermarket parts thing, whats wrong with the ca? Its really cheap, has potential, 175hp stock and is iron block. Plus its what the RB series motors are based off and can rev really high. Donā€™t both of you have these motors?

old engine

turbos are generally on their last legs

headgaskets

they have higher kmā€™s than sr generally

timing belts

they will require more parts to be replaced sooner because of ageā€¦

also ca powered silvias and 180sx came with a different rear end than canadian 240sx soā€¦ 1 more thing that dosnt help

persoanlly if i was starting from scratch i would do a sr20det

yes we both have caā€™s

lots of power when you hit boost, just lags untill then.

How much mileage does your motor have? Rafi said the one iā€™d be getting is between 50-100k which doesnā€™t sound bad so I thought everythign would still be in good condition. And wouldnā€™t the headgasket only need to be replaced if Iā€™m running really high boost? And about the rear end, do I need to replace mine with the JDM one? How did you get around the issue?

if i could do it all over again i would have bought a fresh KA and put $5000 into a turbo set up rather than even more into an SRā€¦

KA-T = Teh Win on account of Torque etc.

the problem is the need for fuel management and otehr tuning issues that you dont really have in lightly modded SRā€™s because they are factoried turbo.

on the other hand, i dont know many people who can put 25,000k on a KA-T without failures.

but seriously, that extra torque out of the KA is sickā€¦ a stock KA that is running well will boom an SR for about 40ft. off the line. theo has raked me in like that a few times until i really get into the boostorz

BTW Ramesh,

that look looks SOOOO HOTā€¦

i wanna put one on my car but i just cant bring myself to keep oneā€¦ must sell them to pay them offā€¦lol

on a side note, i will have a couple available for the meet on sunday.

hint hint nudge nudge

But, I would also like something that is good on gas. I heard the CA is good on gas when its not on boost b/c its only 1.8L. My KA24E sucks ass on gas; I barely get 300kms a tank. Also, the KA would probably cost over double the ca and more than the sr. I would need to buy a new low mileage DOHC motor, all the turbo poop and the fuel managment computer. Also, if I turboed a KA, wouldnā€™t I have to get a dyno tune to get it running properly? Iā€™m just looking for my car to be quick (not supercar fast), have good handling and be cheap to maintain and drive which is what I thought the ca will help me accomplish.

Bing will this lip fit on a pig nose

of course not, fukk the pignose

Looks really good

Thatā€™s a niagra thing.

Sounds like thereā€™s something wrong with your car.

no my car is fine, the KA has more torque until the SR hits boost.

if anything there was something off on my launch, thanks

oh, and do you know anyone at all who has ever put 25,000kmā€™s on a KA-T without major revisions, adjustments or retunes???

i would be surprised if any of the big KA boys in the US even bothered to drive their boosted KAā€™s that much even if the engines were up to it.

so ur off on both comments
