first bmw mods complete (328ic)

Do people ever do the surrounds bodycolor?

should paint all the plastic pieces that are on the doors and the bumpers. It would clean the car up a ton. I love convertibles. Is this strictly DD or will it do track duty?

people do paint all that stuff body color, but I hate how that looks… for some reason the E36 needs something to break up the lines of the car. it always looks weird when they get painted.

this is my daily/fun street car… I plan to buy a more dedicated track car at some point.

I just meant the chrome grill surrounds. Rub strips def look better black

I see what you’re saying… I don’t think it’s been done… I’ve seen them painted all body color, it looks bad.

i think a black center with a body colored surround would look better than a black center w/ black surround.

+1

Go dirty…add the Breyton Race GTS (Blk). With the black grills, smoked corners&tails, along with a black top these rims would be perfect.

I really like those, but not in black… I want 2 things in silver on this car, the wheels and the exhaust tips.

on your car I would recommend black exhaust tips to go with the wheels.

tails are in, horrible pic.

Those are led right?

nope, except for the 3rd brake light. somebody does sell an LED version of this tails but they look pretty ghetto.

I own air tools now so I can more easily work on my cars.

I spent about 3-4 hours today and installed the 3.23 LSD that I’ve had sitting around forever. used redline 75w90 (the version with LSD additive).

the car gets into its powerband much earlier now making it a lot more fun to drive, it also hangs the back out without any Scandinavian trickery.

I also removed the rear sway bar and installed the lowering springs back in again but with extra spring pads to get the drop that I wanted.

I have to install an M3 rear sway bar and also replace the rear lower control arm bushings.
The new wheel and tire are here after the dunnville destruction, so I need to mount that and get my CSL reps back on.
I also have an M3 front bumper and mirrors that needs paint + install…

so, some progress, more to come.

I saw the car at a timmy hoes a couple weekends ago and it looks real hot in person. The wheels are perfect.

Very nice ride - I like it
