I did see pics on fb of the TCT trailer getting loaded
3 runs, 3rd one was the best. Ran an 8.88 at 142 lifting at 1100ft and softening the launch so it wouldn’t blow the tires off.

This seems drastically behind what ford has had on the table. What are these running price wise? Since a ZL1 is around what a shelby runs I can’t imagine these are really anything impressive. GT500s are doing 9’s with literally $2k into them and a stock 2.3l supercharger.
Looks like these are going to do mid 8s on a good run. Are the GT500s doing mid 8s? I don’t really follow either car but cracking 9s is for the GT500(with mods) is hardly comparable to a turn key 8sec car IMO(assuming the one above is stock).
You’re right. You can drive the GT500 to and from the track with all the creature comforts intact. If you really want to be special and trailer a factory bad ass stang, then the Cobra Jet has that covered.
Only on this fggt site would someone say 8’s out of the box is nothing impressive.

You guys are out of your mind. This COPO was on its 3rd run ever. No tune, no nothing. They had to soften up the launch so it wuldn’t blow the tires off, and then let off at 1100ft. An 8.88 run typically will trap around 150-152. When it gets sorted out it will be running 8.4’s, without so much as removing a valve cover. You compare a high 9 second car to a high 8-second car like they are so close, lol. Only about a 300hp difference. This is a limited run car. Only 69 will be built, and it will be worth every penny should the owner decide to sell it. It was $89k and was built specifically to compete in certain Stock-Eliminator type classes. Ford has the Cobra Jet Mustangs and Dodge has the Drag Pak Challengers.
It is a GM factory race car. I am sure the tune is prefect considering people like Greg Bannish probably worked on the tune. GM wouldn’t put a hyped up car like this out with anything less.
Goes to show what you know. It is very conservative. It even has a stumble upon first stabbing the throttle off of idle. Not to mention hitting the limiter 1100ft out. You’d think it would be geared perfectly but it’s not.
