First semi-successful night time DSLR shots

First time I have been able to take some semi-okay pics at night. Took long enough.

No tripod. No post editing via photoshop, etc.

*** And yes, that is an F$*)@( rust spot on my passenger side fender. It just came from NO WHERE. The other side of it isn’t rusted one bit…I was PISSED when I saw it at the carwash. That crap’s getting fixed as soon as the warm weather hits. ***

pics look good.

DSLR**
pics came out decently for not having a tripod but you should get a carwash soon :rofl

Those came out great. Esp considering that you had the ISO at 1600, the noise isn’t all that bad.

Looks good man, your car prolly woulda stood out a little more lighting wise if it was washed

Thanks.

Hah typo. Dunno if I can change the thread title. And yeah, I do need one.

Damn you’re good. How did you know what ISO I used? lol.

Yep.

Yeah, it was a spur of the moment ‘shoot’ hah.

Nick is like a ninja mabye he was watching u while u were shooting

pics look good, car looks dumpy :thumbup

Thanks man. Means alot. lol.

Damn is that a rust spot?

Good pics really bring it out.

:shifty

Certainly a ninja! Haha. But seriously, images have what is called EXIF data where the camera stores all the information about the shot. Yours were still intact and I just viewed them.

On a side note, there is a hack for your cameras firmware so that it would be extended to ISO 3200 and give you spot metering. Let me know if you’re interested in the details.

Oh I see. Didn’t know that.

And what’s the hack/firmware? I’m interested.

Here’s the details on the hack: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=742806

Thanks. I’ll give that a read a little later.

cool info about the camera and the pics carrying data like that…

honestly i saw the pics and IMO there is a bit too much noise or it seems like there is, im not a photo guy, just my opinion

use a tripod for this shit IMO… u should get diff wheels

cool thread

These are my winter wheels (stocks). My summer wheels are in my signature. My stocks only look good in some pictures, but not others.

I think they look fine in todays snowy batch of photos:

Ebay ninjas gonna be stealing yo shit! I like that last shot. A little PS and it should be a sick pic.

What they gonna advertise? Snow? hahah.

Eh, I got over that crap. Someone brought it to my attention via PM on another forum and I over reacted lol.

Still have my old XTi?

Looks decent for being such high-iso shots.
