First tattoo questions & care.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll try one of the water based ones you suggested next piece and see if I notice a difference.

It’s the beetle w/ the wings that kinda looks like balls up near my knee in that pic.

I’ve used H2Ocean and Flawless IDRT and feel that you can use H2Ocean immediately and Flawless after a few days. Personally, I wait about a day before using any sort of product as I REALLY hate that feeling with the skin being perforated and scabbing and it feels all dry. Moreover, flawless can be used with scars and/or stretch marks to help reduce the appearance of them, whether your girl got pregnant and then went back to skinny, or you have deep stretchmarks from muscle growth (mainly around the upper pec/delt tie in), etc. I was amazed at the before and after pics I saw of it and I personally know/knew the user that tested it for his stretchmarks.
PS- where do you go to around shittalo? I’ve never seen a single good artist in this state and I’ve been living here for 3-4yrs now.

I like that

gotta brush up on your egyptian history

Girlfriend used a few different ones some of them faded the tattoos…

datsun 240z witha chevy 350, duh.

With all my tattoos I’ve just washed with scentless soap and water 3x a day the first few days, avoiding direct contact with the shower head when I take a shower, etc. Then after a few days when it starts getting dry non scented lotion 3x a day for a week or two. I’ve played hockey within a day of getting most tattoos, it’s fine. For my right arm recently I put lotion on it and wrapped it in saran wrap prior to dressing

Saran wrap? It’s a ‘wound’. You want it to breathe.

This. Only time I did this was the ditch. I am semi-allergic to red and my one ditch is almost all red ink. My arm swelled up so bad I couldn’t bend it for 4 days. LOL. The swelling was making shit dry and crack and I had to keep it moist. 8/

Alright, so who can point me into the direction of a very good tattoo guy?

But dude you don’t exactly want stinky hockey equip rubbing on it for the hour to two you are playing. I’m sure he let it breathe afterwords, lol.

Any good artist will have a 2-3 month wait usually. Dunno if you’re looking elsewhere just to get it quicker…if you have an artist you’re good with I’d wait for him. Just my 2 cents.

Mark Madden did my buddy’s sleeve, unbelievable artist.

I go to Sky High Ink in Perry, NY…I drive about an hour just to see my Tattoo Artist and he’s usually got open spots. I’ve been happy with his work (see tattoo thread)

a scarab is also a boat
lol

Just so you guy know a wound will actually heal faster wrapped but is much more prone to infection.

As far as aquaphor I absolutely love the stuff. I will not be giving anything else a shot as on other products I have had bad results. My tats looks as crisp and dark as the day I got them since I switched.

exactly, it’s a wound. I don’t want the bacteria from all the sweat in my shoulder pads over the course of the past 2 years to get it infected. saran wrap while I play was recommended to me by multiple tattoo artists

This sounds like it’d be correct. Especially with sweaty and sometimes coarse fabric and foam padding.

Aquaphor. Anyone that told you to use a&d, has no idea what they are talking about. Sorry, bros.

Why would that be? Especially if what Beejis60 said is true, and he sounds well versed to me.
