High mileage parts will certainly be more prone to failure, lets not be silly.

Your fuel system has a lot to do with it as well, take a beat ass stock fuel pump and tell it to pump enough fuel for a 250 shot and see what happens. Unfortunately thats what happens when a performance car becomes affordable…

Pistons and rod’s don’t gradually wear. They either work perfectly or fail. Yes, ring lands crack, etc, but again that’s nothing to do with mileage.
