Five Guys Burgers and Fries opening in Buffalo

Try Theodore’s on the island

Both use Rochester meats for burgers.

Like 20 mins ago I spotted the 5 guys H3 pulling out of McDonalds on Transit

i had five guys in me today…

i’m a bit of a junky for this place. We had one open up locally and my new office is a 25 second drive from it now… bad news.

i have to limit myself to once a month though…

Did the burger stay with anyone else for over a day? I ate it around 1 pm and expelled it about 30 hours later. I could feel it in my stomach/intestinal tract for a day.

lol  The first time I had 5 guys I was in DC. An hour later I had to ditch my wife at the reflecting pool in front of the capital to run to the Native American Smithsonian for an assplosion.

^ That’s because your body is too used to eating all that healthy stuff and couldn’t contain the pure awesomeness of a greasy burger.

Vizzis is good. Not $8 a burger good. Once they got the best burger in buffalo review from art voice, Mindy (the owners long term GF) let it go to her head and started fucking everything up over there.

That or too much cheese.

bing why would u drive 25 seconds? stop acting lik a lazy american, ur suppose to be canadian !

Haha

So, I did 5 Guys and Ted’s back to back days… for lunch.

Five Guys
Little Cheeseburger
Regular Fry
Regular Drink

$9.3x After Tax

Ted’s
Regular Cheeseburger
Regular Fry (don’t think there are sizes)
Medium Drink - Large is 20c more.

$6.06 After Tax

Now for the comparison and this is just my personal tastes for this.
Burgers - Five Guys wins the burger taste, it is bigger, tastes a bit better, more toppings. It is more expensive burger vs burger. Ted’s was not bad, can taste the real charcoal flavor, but was smaller, less toppings, roll is not as good, etc.
Fries - Ted’s wins with the fries, I like the smaller crispier fries they have, but there was less fries in general. Five Guys gives you a fuckton of fries, they are bigger fresh cut ones, but they were soggy and some were not even cooked all the way when I got them. This was a tough call for me but the amount of fries can only make up for so much.
Drink - Ted’s wins, I didn’t need to pay $2 for the same size.

I did not try hotdogs for this comparison it was just a burger meal vs burger meal. I guess I should have gotten the “jumbo” size at Ted’s to offset the size a bit, but I didn’t think about it till after I ordered. As far as a lunch consideration for myself due to time constraints and travel times, given the choice between Five Guys and Ted’s I will almost always pick Ted’s. Half the drive time and $3 less means I can stop on the way back for a Frosty for a nice desert… lol

Grovers > Five Guys. I went because i couldn’t remember what it tasted like from the last time I had it in Atlanta. Meh. The best thing they have going for them is Barqs Red Cream Soda.
