Flat rate recommendation lied about this little job...

Actually, I believe it’s just turbos and software, but I could be wrong.

Either way, this car is quite a bit faster than a standard X50. I’ve done Milltek high-flow cats and mufflers, fabspeed intake, hyperboost valves, and a custom tune done in real-time by O.CT.

And yes, the drivetrain does come out from below, but it’s a LOT more involved than the older cars.

$18-20K for turbos/software only—u r correct

flat rate does lie if anyone with a cougar(newer) v6 ask u to do a alternator tell them 5 hrs

Pretty sure they are factory tips. I think it’s part of the “motor sound” package.

But what’s with that cancerous half circle on the sides of each tip? Kinda fug if you ask me.

man that job looks pretty involved lol. i dont get irritated doing work like that if its for performance. it gets old if its just a run of the mill repair.

Brian

sure I’ll do it for 5.6 hours but I want $350/hr

Wasn’t there a model of Porsche that had the half tips like that and it was open dump?

Yep. Even though these are aftermarket tips, there were a lot of 996 C4s and Turbos with similar factory tips.
