Going to Florida Saturday for a few days and thinking about taking advantage of Southwest’s two free bags thing and bringing my clubs. I have a cloth bag for them that zips but anyone have any tips or suggestions for this?

I would suggest a hard case… ive seen people get their clubs bent by luggage pressing down on it…
Cloth bag won’t cut, you almost have to buy those specially made golf case made out of that hard plastic stuff. My uncle went to Myrtle and when he arrived the head on his driver and 5 wood snapped off during the flight.

What tips do you want? I travel with my clubs 1-2 times a year. I just check them in with luggage. Are you worried your travel case wont protect them?
Edit- I have a hard case(carbon fiber!!!) you can use if you come get it and bring it back to me.
Ya pretty much looking for what the two people said before you with clubs getting bent and snapped.

Yeah as long as I don’t have to do any work like come pick it up for you or some shit you can borrow it. LMK if/when you want to come get it.
I’ve flown with my clubs twice with a soft bag, I just wrapped the head of the clubs up real well with towels. Didn’t have a problem either time with them getting damaged or anything. If you can though a hard case is definitely your better option.
I brought mine to Florida and back in a soft case. I put a lot of cardboard over the top of the clubs and then the zip on cover. I didn’t get any clubs broken, but would use a hard case next time I did it since it’s not worth it to replace clubs as it is to get a nice hard case.
The airlines bitched at me for how I did it, but they didn’t get damaged.
Good find. Was really considering buying something like this as I will be making more and more trips to Tampa and its not worth risking $1500+ in golf clubs.
Going to use courgarspeed’s one for this trip and invest in one next month or find another set to keep there.
shit, i wish i knew drew had a hard case. i left mine home when i was just in florida because i didnt want to risk breaking them

Yea I say hard case, I see too many golfers stuff get messed up when I fly from Myrtle Beach that don’t have solid cases.
