FMIC Question

I’m looking to get an FMIC for my S13 Blacktop, i’ve narrowed my options down to:

Greddy LS Spec
ARC Turn Flow

but I’m only able to find the ARC Turn Flow for S15 and RB25, anyone know if they will be compatible? I was thinking just staying SMIC, but since i got the engine out, i can do it up all at once. What do you guys think? :open_mouth:

Not joking.

Ask how many people have an Ebay front mount, how well it performs and how little money they needed to spend.

Not only that but it has GREAT fitment!

Cool, i’ll look into that, but I’ve always been told “you get what you pay for” and that’s what usually comes back and kicks you in the ass >.<

Aren’t there flow/ cooling differences between brand name opposed to no name?

ebay ones are just fine in this case…

but, message varun (slipperysilvia), he got me a great deal on a greddy one

Surprisingly the ebay fm’s are great quality. The kit has t-bolt clamps, 4 ply silicone couplers, great welds on all piping and non leaking cores.

lol…just upgrade your sidemount!

That was my plan to start with, cuz i could pull off a sleeper look >=)
Noobs would look at my hatch and “be like i could take this fool”…hehe, ya eh? :stuck_out_tongue:

For those who haven’t seen a turn flow intercooler set up before

so much pipe on the cold side.

Hey boys!

XSPOWER shit works good…

I’m sure if you get down into it the ic wouldn’t stack up to top name brands, but there is a link somewhere on the net showing the diff between cheap front mounts and high end $$ front mounts. The high end front mounts do work a bit better & it’s like they say you get what you pay for. In any case I personally can’t justify spending $1400 - $2000 on an IC setup.

That ebay kit is gay…

no hotpipe & 2" hotside from the core… that means you still have to spend more on piping and you only have a 2" hotside… what happens if you want to make real power?

plus ordering from the US you are 80% going to get hit with customs…and since it gets shipped in 2 boxes good luck slipping it through.

I have FMIC kits with better cores, full piping (including hotpipe) and they have a 2.25" ID hotside…

2" hotpipe is where its at.

Have you been able to find a turn flow? I’m looking for one as well for an S14.

Bing, would your skyline FMIC kit work for an RB in an S14?

Zac Zacm you holding outttttttt??? LOL.

I’ve been told RB-performance.net carries them for RB20’s but they’re site has been down for a while. I found another site that carried them but they look quite pricey especially when you have to ship it from the US too :S

bump, anyone know other possible places/ sites that carry these?

i paid 275$ to my door for my Skyline customs fees included. Im 100% sure ebay fmic kits for an s13 is cheaper. Go with that. If your core starts leaking after a year you can buy a new core for 60$ american. You cant lose

bring it to me 500 with installation, I am doing a intercooler set up on on a supra did one already on a 240 1jz, s14 sr20, 240 2jz, 240 KA-T, 240 RB25. Let me know.

What kind of core do you use? Is the piping mandrel bent as well?

Core not sure ( no name brand, but it works) and yes piping has some u’s and 90 degree bends with a couple of straights .
