Justin- My house is 1000 sq ft and Adema just installed a 60,000 btu for $1800. We went with 80% efficiency because the gas bills are so low that a high efficiency would never pay for itself. It also saved about $1100. They had it installed 3 days after the estimate and it took them about 3 hrs. Highly recommended.
I have a fucking furnace in my barn some dick head left after not paying storage rent. I’ll see if I can find info on WTF it is. Actually I think there is two of them. If its something you can fucking have it. I’m sick of people randomly storing shit at my house. My barn has more of other peoples shit than my own.
You need that much (well you actually need 72mbh output no matter the input) to get a leaving air temp of over 100 deg (seriously, how do you do a deg symbol on a mac). Heating is not maintaining a space at 72+deg, its getting a 100 deg leaving air temp, especially in a rental property. People think unless they have that feeling of warm air blowing on them that the heater is not working and will call and bitch. You have to think about that as well.
Leaving the furnace at 100 degrees right? When we had our furnace fixed a while back they said it was coming out the vents at 86 and he said perfect.
Correct, a lot of heating is more perception than actual heating, coming out of your vents at 86 seems low, it shouldn’t drop 14 deg while traveling though the vents in you house.
This was the furnace at work, its a roof mounted unit and I think he was measuring from like 40 or so feet away.
Option+Shift+8 or Option+0(easier to get to , but not a real degree mark)
