I don’t think anything should be called “stock” unless it has nothing more then the boost cranked up and maybe even have the care “re-tuned” a bit
As soon as you start swapping out any parts IMO the car is not stock (talking engine wise/turbo related) Suer I’d say you can get away with some small shit and still call it stock

Don’t bust Ryans balls for him not doing anything spectacular in his car when you have nothing to show for yourself. Also because I know your trend and you start asking me what me and my POS has done. I love my POS, and unlike many peoples vehicles on here it costs A LOT of money to get parts custom fabbed for what I’m doing, and unfortunately I have responsiblites in life, so my car is on the back burner.
i have done something, i’ve driven the car well enough to be my class winner at the evo Vs STi showdown @etown (won a 600$ ignition system), pretty proud of myself because i rarely win anything (actually i never win) and i was the 12th quicket ET stock turbo car for 2010 and 13th fastest MPH for 2010 aswell… maybe its not the most impressive, but i’m indeed happy with how far the car has come from being 100% stock to where it is now.
hopefully this year with a few new additions and an actual tire the car hopefully will be in the top 5 stock turbo list for 2011 both MPH and ET wise

it went 115 at etown with a best ET of 11.93 and a shitty 1.7x 60ft, i was a bit scared to launch the car as hard as i do at LVD, so i’m sure if i cut my 1.65-1.68 60ft’s it woulda went 11.8x, but its whatever

I have a POS because I OWN it… I could probably get away with getting a car etc, but I would not feel comfortable one bit buying a car that I cannot get outright to play around with. It still boggles my mind how some of the people around here do it. I probably won’t be able to get something “new” and cool for quite awhile, and I love my car so I will continue to work with what I have and enjoy it

Not that I feel the need to even post about it, but all I’m gonna say is why bother half ass running something down the track? My car has some sketchy 315s, no slicks, wont pass tech, no TRD rear diff and I don’t feel like spending the $1300 on some 15inch MT ET streets to run it right now. Not to mention the car has numerous tune issues, and is going back down to NJ late week, or next week for some things that need to be addressed. (Safety items). Car needs a pile of work. Can’t even run the car with big MT’s because you blow drive shafts like that. My funds are better spend currently on my house, upcoming wedding, and other shit I have going on right now. Hence why I’ve been enjoying the car as I can. Don’t feel like spending the $5000 (est) getting it to be able to run well down the strip right now.
I don’t understand the thought process of running something down the track (not to mention a high dollar item) with the potential to break it/blow it up/ and run a shitty time so that everyone can then say… “car sucks, car is slow he only ran a 11.5 @140 etc” makes no sense to half ass run something. If you’re gonna run your car, run it at 100% so you don’t have lame ass excuses as to why your time sucks. I bought someone else’s headache. That was my fault, car is is no condition to run the 1320. Doesn’t help that only a handful of people can tune the car in the US.

not that you can see this but i agree, same reason i’m waiting to get all my things ironed out then having the car tuned and im gonna run once on pump, and a few times on e85… not gonna waste my time on pump, even though this year it SHOULD do what it did last year on e85 on pump this year.

No, you just don’t run a 1000hp car down a track with little to no supporting mods Han. Supras aren’t Honda’s. Shit is expensive. Yea, I chose the platform. Not bashing Hondas, just saying you can’t just buy a 3k shell and run 10s with a few bills.
I know civics can’t be compared to supra’s as far as cost, but honda’s can get expensive, trust me… I would know. :lol
