Yes, you are “missing” that it actual has about 400 more hp. That is simply the IHRA/NHRA hp rating. Divide the hp by the weight to figure the class it falls into, etc, etc… When the cars start crushing the index then the following Monday they get hp added which lowers the index slightly.
