Ford plant in Brazil

Watch 2:15 of the video, a guy lifts an exhaust system to the assembly.
In the USA that would take like 2 or 3 UAW workers and they would be allowed to lift only 20 times per day.:baby:

I guess people in South America are more hungry.:gotme:

i was thinking the same thing when i saw the gas tank guy  Here that guy would claim its a hazardous job because gasoline would one day be put in that tank.

A very big part of this stems from the early 20’s when Ford bought all kinds of land to produce rubber in Brazil. I am actually suprized that it took this long for Ford to utilize the land for something productive.

These are the people that give unions bad reps. They shouldnt make nearly as much as they do for screwing in a couple bolts.

NOT ALL UNIONS ARE LIKE THIS. So dont assume everyone in a union is a lazy ass.

Im union, electrical. We deserve the 29.50 hr. and i know alot of other union trades earn their money to.

I was working next to a 2000 amp main today.3 inches away from it.One slip and i would have been toast.

For me…
Another make it or break it for a union is one that certifies that
two very different employees get paid the same to do the same job.

Not all employees are equal. If you treat them that way, then you remove the motivation of the stars to go above and beyond.

you can tell by the font this is another famous AWDrifter email cut and paste… LOL… anybody with an IQ over 50 can tell you the reasons why many more plants will be built in the US.

who keeps sending you this crap.

if it wasn’t for the union you would be able to weed out the slackers and keep the qualified hard working employees.

Its not crap and definitely worth the read.

lol@ people complaining about union’s.
Complain about the city workers, If I see 12 city workers or state works standing around while 2 people are working again, I’m going to go nucking futz.
Total waste of money, Tired of seeing people get payed 20$+ an hr to lean on a shovel.

the video is fine, but it’s the idea that the US won’t have any more plants go up is wrong. it’s not all the unions fault and they’re starting to come around… the politics are just insane. It might be more fair to say that US companies won’t build here anytime soon, while foreign ones can’t stop building new plants in the US and taking market share.

x2 I’m part of a teacher union (not buffalo) we have a great relationship with the administration. They treat us fairly because they know we’ll do our best and we don’t bitch over every little thing.

Aren’t a lot of foreign companies beginning to make plants here?
