was it? that would be shitty, there is some good debate going on here.
^Hey thanks for taking the time to respond intelligently to my earlier posts. I guess we’ll just agree to disagree on the religion post. It’s closed, it dead, I won’t bring it up again.
I will agree with you that some of the blatant black prejudice in this thread is BS. I.E. the sarcastic “surprise, they’re black” post. If you want to look at race and sexual predators I’ve probably gotten a dozen of those “A convicted sex offender has moved into your area” flyers since I graduated from UB 2 years ago. Most if not all were white. So based on that I could think that most sex offenders are white. Oh but wait, I have always lived in predominantly white areas. :gotme: I dunno, in my eyes skin color doesn’t mean shit. The segregation that still exists is one of financial segregation, not racial. However, there are probably more poor blacks than whites because they have only had equal opportunities for a generation or two and it’s hard to dig your way out of the ghetto.
But then again, I’m not black so I generally wouldn’t be subject to racial prejudice so the only way I would notice is by observing others subjected to racial prejudices.
So maybe current economic segregation is a result of earlier racial segregation? Does that mean that it still is racial segregation? :gotme:
Back on topic: Even though these kids are 16, if convicted of rape will they have to alert the community that they move to from now on that they are convicted sex offenders?
that’s cool man, sorry if i offended you, all i was saying is that the title had a warning, this didn’t yada yada yada, let’s fuh-git-a-bot-it.
i definatly agree with you, although i would assume that there is a degree of skin color involved, it has more to do with economic status now than it did even 20 years ago.
great post.
Umm. MY ex has a really nice home on the west side, she is white, One of my outside salesmen lives in south buffalo, he makes over $150,000/year, oh and he is Irish… does that make him lower middle class?? Oh, and i may be purchasing a house in south buffalo, and I come from a wealthy Irish family. So earlier in this thread you jumped on people for making stereotypes, and now you yourself are doing it. OH OH and the rich white people in williamsville/amherst area… Not as high a percentage as you would assume… Sure there is a higher income bracket / capita, but when i used to work up there i got just as many scumbags there as in other places of buffalo.
Any generalization is negative (Coming from a guy who makes generalizations about EVERYONE) I am just going to shut up now, because i feel like I am lecturing me out of my own bad ways
^ okay, i know what you’re saying, but read what i said over. did i say that there are no exceptions? no. i was simply stating that this area is very segregated and i gave a brief rundown to serve as an example, to give some substance to what i was trying to convey. you’re going to argue with me that what i said if far-fetched? and excuse my mistake, when i said lower-middle class, i meant working class.
^ no i agree with you, but i dont like thinking that it is THAT segregated. I know that is a predominant divisor. Yes, there is those groups, but not everyone fits. I just got bugged by the Irish following south buffalo. We are everywhere, especially hamburg, which at least where i grew up was not bad at all.
that’s cool man, this post is bound to be offensive and blatant (i think we all know that already), so sorry if i offended you.
hey man, i’m irish too. alot of my family is from s. buffalo and there are irish community centers and all that, like i said before, i was just trying to convey my message
dude, the scumbags are EVERYWHERE. that’s what a big point of this discussion is, shitty people span across every economic/racial/ethnic/religious/whatever boundry.
thats some sick shit. That area of lockport is very ghetto.
