FR: 200 sq ft room in 2BR 2Bath Condo, Scarsdale NY

Just throwing it out there.

I live in a very convienient area near NYC. I’m a 30 minute train ride to Grand Central (middle of manhattan), and live ON 4 different bus routes (BXM4C - bus that takes you down 5th Ave, 20 - Up and down Central Ave, 20x - Up and down Central Ave express, 65 - takes you to train station). By car, the bronx is reachable within 10 minutes, and norther manhattan (aka harlem) in less than 20. 4 major highways or parkways are within 5 minutes from my condo.

I own a 1300 sq foot 2 Bedroom 2 FULL bath Condo. You will have your own bathroom with full sized tub. You have an unassigned parking space (there is always parking).

The room itself is 200 sq ft. There’s a big window, and an A/C unit. Cable hookup, of course. I have a wireless that gets full signal all over the condo. It’s currently almost fully furnished, with a bookshelf, a king sized bed, and a desk. The closet is all california closet-ed out, with shelves and dividers and whatnot. There is brand new carpet with triple upgraded padding and the room was painted 2 months ago.

I have in unit laundry - it’s right across the hall from your room. The bathroom is also right next to your room.

I have a smallish kitchen that has all the basics (stove, fridge, microwave, dishwasher) with plenty of cupboards.

The entire condo is furnished otherwise, which you could use of course. I have a 61" TV, a very comfy couch, a dining room set, multiple computers, and a plethora of closets. No seriously, I have a shit ton of closet space.

The condo is located near (less than 3 blocks) from :

10+ places to eat : Candlelight bar and grill, Burger King, Boston market, a chinese place, a thai place, a mexican place, 2 different italian places (one upscale, one family city style), 2 delis, a California Pizza Kitchen, a Brazilian all you can eat meat place, 2 pizzarias, 1 subway, and a 7-11, if you want to count that.

3 Supermarkets of some sort.

4 repair shops (auto)

4 furniture shops

A staples, and a office depot

A post office

A crapload of doctors, dentists, and physical therapy places.

4 or 5 clothing stores.

etc. I think you get the point, I don’t live in bumblefuck. A 5 minute drive would yield you anything and everything.

Not that I think you will need to, but the school system here has been consistently rated the top 30 in the US, and it’s public.

I’m looking for someone responsible, who can pay their bills on time, and is kinda tidy around the house. What you do in your room, I don’t care, just don’t leave permanent damage. I’m a heavy sleeper, so noise isn’t exactly an issue. No smoking. If you smoke, you must go outside.

Rent (everything included) : $1250 a month.

Terms : 3, 6, or 12 months

Security deposit : 500 bucks (unless 3 month term, then 1000)

Due by first day you move in : $1750 (first month + security deposit)

If anyone you know is interested, PM me their number/contact.

FR:??

Hrm, yeah, that would make more sense… wouldn’t it.

 yep…

and now you disappear.

However, HOLY SHIT. Now I remember why I didn’t move to NYC. Sure everything that you need is at your fingertips, but I can not even imagine what you are paying for a place like that.

Good deal for someone that doesn’t want to live in a shit hole and pay the same amount.

That is fucking awesome, and Ive always wanted to live in the city.

I know some peeps in the area, ill pass the word around

Other things to add :

Metro North monthly train pass : 180 bucks
Gives you unlimited rides to / from Manhattan and any city stop located within the same zone.

Unlimited monthly Metrocard : 80 bucks
Unlimited bus / subway / tram / ferry rides. This works where I live, and of course in NYC.

I will pass this on to my buddy. I still cant believe how much it is to live outside of NYC.

$1000 for a 200sq ft bedroom in nyc vs me looking at a 650 sq ft apartment with kitchen for $500 today in Buffalo. lol

can i do anything i want in the room?
will you be checking up on what i do in the room?
will any equipment/dolls/plastic sheeting that you witness me carrying into the room alarm you?
will unusual noises from the room disturb you?

Passing this on to a buddy. He works @ Herald Towers but lives in the Bronx. I’m positive this is cheaper than what he is paying now.
