Free Landscape design software?

Fellas,

Does anybody know of any free landscape design software? Basically I’d like something where I can use a photo of my house, and choose from a stockpile of .tif images and design what I want to do. I’m not good with photoshop or the fancy stuff. Anybody know of anything good?

Thanks.

Can’t help you with free software, but my neighbors did a “we plan, you plant” thing with one of the local landscape suppliers. Basically the landscape place helps you design it all out for X dollars, then you get that money back in money off the plants you buy from them. If you’re interested I’ll ask my neighbor next time I see him who he did it through. Best part about doing it this way is you get professional advice on what plants work well together.

EDIT:
It was Russells.

So you put down $50 as a deposit and as long as you buy 60% of the plants in the design there they give you a $60 credit.

Thanks for the input! I have 10 trees coming down and the whole front yard scraped out, regraded, and a new lawn going in over the next week and a half. Won’t be able to do the landscaping this year, but time to start planning. Could have bought a car

I did the whole tree teardown plant lawn thing. Needless to say, next house will have a ready-to-go yard. Biggest pain the ass ever.

Did the same thing this summer, so much hard work and $ but honestly when its all done and growing you will love it! We went to the nerseries like 5 times and set stuff out and next to eachother/swapped plants and locations till we found what we liked and was in our budget. for around $600 you can get an awesome set up

I’m looking forward to that stage… Looking to do something rich looking but LOW MAINTENANCE. I want to do nice edging and illumination and all that BS… not looking forward to the cost. The trees/hardscaping is setting me back 8… (aaaarrggghhhhh)

i recommend Russell’s as well, i redidi all my landscaping and did some hardscapes with a pallet of their stone…turned out great…i didnt the nice but low maint. too…i need to do illumination next year…if u want a good landscaper to so the work my neighbor did mine and does really good work…

If you want hedges/trees go with a boxwood they are a little more expensive but super low maintanence and easy to trim (like 2 times a year) also are very hardy in buffalo winters, and deer hate them

I love trees why cut them down? You can do some really nice things incorporating the trees into your landscape design.

Turbo Floorplan 3d is on pirate bay for free if you want it.
