I built a box for a customer who never paid me for my work, or costs, or anything. I just want this box out of my basement. If you want it, come and get it.
The box was built for two Alpine typex-12s. It’s a 4th order bandpass with 1.5 cubic foot sealed chamber and 2.4 cubic foot front chamber. The port is 112 square inches (14x8). External dimensions of the box are roughly 34 wide, 16 high, 24 deep. Overall box volume is roughly 8 cubes. Tuning is somewhere around 60-65hz. The box is boxed up and ready to ship, and I built it months ago and forget the exact dimensions.
I designed and built the box myself. The design allowed for a flat frequency response from 20-70hz using a nice butterworth low end rolloff to account for the 12db/octave cabin gain in-car. With the type-x’s, you can use upto 750wrms for both speakers and you must is a first order 22hz subsonic filter to prevent overexcursion.
I carpeted the box and put terminal cups in/on it.
