Fresh off of the VZW phone thread: Sprint [Smart]phone options

Okay phone nerds, need help: I get a decent rate discount through my work on Sprint, and I’m in the market for a new phone.

Please bear in mind that I am a phone noob, I haven’t been in the market for one in aaaaaaaages. I am a current AT&T customer with a Pantech Duo. This would be primarily a personal phone, but I like to have the flexibility of pulling up work-related stuff (engineering/design/marketing)

Looking for:

Great camera / video (3.2+ MP minimal)
Great screen size / clarity
Full keyboard nice, not needed if there’s an on-screen one
Internet - GPS
Lots of Onboard storage is cool, not a priority
Decent speakerphone

So far, I’ve looked at a Palm Pre and an HTC Hero… still want to see a Samsung Moment and an Instinct HD.

TIA

Touch Pro 2?

I’m going to suggest looking at the BB tour.

eww, why would you switch to Sprint.

check out the htc hero

edit: no hard keyboard though

the pre is the hottest thing out right now (edit) for sprint. i highly advise waiting a bit though. android 2.0 is gonna be big. i’d see what sprint is going to be getting in the near future running this OS.

if you have any desire to look at full webpages, and you aren’t working using a BES, I highly advise you don’t consider blackberry. 30 people on here will call me an idiot for saying that though because they don’t know any better. 2 will come in and make a good point for blackberry but the browser still sucks.

also, for GPS, android 2.0 is getting really solid turn by turn gps reviews.

I have a LG lotus right now. Unlimited 3g and 500 minutes plus nights and weekends for $26 per month.

The lotus is not a great phone, but the evdo access is pretty decent if you use the opera browser, and the youtube application is nice as well.

i would say touch pro/tp2, pre, or like dex said to just wait for the android
