Front Axle replacement and Alignment.

While replacing my brakes on Tuesday Feb. 14th I noticed grease EVERYWHERE, figured it probably was not good, I immediately called the deal, who wanted $740 to replace the front axle since the damned CV boot which had a small hole in it cant be replaced by it self, which is weird, but whatever. $740 was WAY more that i wanted to spend so I called a few places local to me and they wanted well over $400, figured that was better but I was sure it could be done cheaper.

I then found my self calling A.S.S. and was quoted “less than $220” which was well cheaper than everyone else so I decided to go with them, and use the money I saved to get an alignment as well, since I recently installed coilovers and the car handled like complete shit.

Upon arrival to A.S.S. parking was easy, and once inside the shop, it is THE CLEANEST shop I’ve been in. And the seats are comfortable as hell, If they guys weren’t as sociable and easy to talk to, I would have probably fell asleep. :lol I was even allowed to hang out in the back of the shop and bullshit with the guys while they were getting the work done, you cant get that anywhere else at all, much less even see the person working on the car.

The front axle was replaced much faster than I expected (usually I’m waiting around for 8hours to get a 1-2 hour job completed).

We then threw around some ideas for a REAL light bar and skid plate, which would cost much less than I originally thought.

I then got my car aligned to the specs I wanted and everything matched perfectly, which would only happen one time in a million at some other shop. After leaving the shop I wanted to see how the car handled and I was amazed, even for being on SNOW tires.

Since the car handles much better than I could have imagined I ended up getting my fenders rolled yesterday and also put on my summer wheels/tires.

I’ll definitely be going to be taking the half hour drive out there again for whatever other service needs I will need in the future. (My guess is tires since I’ve noticed myself pushing the car harder in the corners than before.) :lol

Also, I’m guessing my alignment has been off since I got the car because after getting the alignment I’ve been getting about 3-4 MPG more than before.

Good to hear local business is nailing it.

Once you walk in, they make you feel at home, and like you’ve known them forever. I haven’t had service that good even at places my family has worked at.

Or even places I’ve worked at for that matter.
