Here’s the deal, my pops wants to get into an M-Roadster…so his old toy has to go…he’s not much into cars, he just likes convertibles with a manual that can handle well.
so here’s the deal,
1972 Triumph(British Leyland) Tr-6
-62xxx original unaltered miles(car proves low mileage for model year)
-4speed manual
-inline6 w/ dual weber carbs+ intake manifold+Exhaust manifold(headers all the way back){sounds awesome, though it is not fast by any means}+ interstate battery
-Black leather interior(though covered by sheeps wool brown seat covers becuase the black gets too hot sitting outside with the top down
-new frame within the last 5 years(replaced after we bought it in 1999)+ new rear susp. components.
-black soft top w/ plastic window
-LeCarra premium racing steering wheel(shorter diameter, thicker leather)
-alternator needs to be replaced in order for a working stereo system to be in the car
-little to no rust, i took a picture of the only actual spot of rust spot(below rear chrome bumper)
----went out and started it(in my garage) for the first time in about a month or two and it took a couple seconds to turn over, which is normal, but then it fires right up…just let it warm up before you start to drive it.
-----in june i drove it up here from philadelphia with nothing but oil and a wrench, and i didnt need either one…i even stopped for BK and it started right back up. this truly is a 62K miles 35 year old car. its grear…the true essence of driving(no aids, no assistance, and everything is manual) it is a pure delight to drive.
–if anyone has any questions or an offer. im me:ten8tjibber or call(717)-413-0361
--------My father has been offered $4900 to this point, and the person is coming from out of the area this weekend to look at it/ buy it if no one has given my father a better offer(he is the mechanic that worked on this car for its entire life, he owns a british only shop in mechanicsburg,pa)
—TR-6s rarely sell for over 5K unless they truly are worth it. because the market is so marginal, enthusiasts know what is worth it and what is not, and if he offered $4900 in june when we moved, and still wants it now…it is worth it.
…pictures to follow
all the gauges work, and so does everything else
^^tat last picture was taken while the car was idling…that is how you want it to be running, and how it always runs…
it also has never had a serious cleaning…i dont think since we have owned my father has ever washed this once. i know that i did a hand wash/ once over with meguiars about two years ago before i drove it for the first time ever…so with a little cleaning up, this would be a true classic beauty…
bumpity
This car will get you maaddd hoes.
I like it bump.
…def. a pimp machine that gets the hoes…
I have a '76, BRG…
nice car, GLWS…
YOU have it carl?

damn I dunno about that. it looks like the alternator would be a bitch to change out
