[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica] For sale is my 1973 sunburst orange CB500. I bought it earlier this summer from a guy who claimed his dad was the original owner. The bike had not been on the road for about 15 years. I bought it with the intentions of riding around all summer and then going cafe in the
winter while she was down.
I only have put a bout 300 miles on her. It is gonna need a rectifier and that is it. I have a wiring harness that the buyer can have if the want with the sale. I was hoping to ride her until the snow flew, but I am an electrical noob so i dropped it off at a friend of a friend who said he would fix it. The guy had the bike for six weeks and did nothing, THANKS ASSHOLE! In the meantime school started and i just didn’t have the time or money for the bike. Since I bought it I have replaced…
New Bridgestone Battlax BT45 tires on the font and rear. ($240)
New Chain and front and rear sprockets ($125)
3 New Ebc brake pads up front and totally flushed and fresh fluid.($40)
New Wheel Bearings in the back as they were shot ($50)
New Battery ($20)
Right now i am having a problem with the charging which i have tested back and confirmed to be the rectifier. A cheap fix but i just need the bike gone to pay some bills. Aside from that she runs good but could probably use some carb cleaner as most old bikes could. I paid 800 dollars and put in 475. I feel 900 is a very fair price and am very firm on that. So if you are a tire kicker or pud puller go F*** yourself!
If you have any questions feel free to post here or email me at ecoshardcore@hotmail.com AND NOW THE PICS!
damn i wish i had the cash for this right now, i def want to get a bike like this just to mess around on and work on in my spare time. glws, im sure this will go pretty quick.
if you get 900 for this let me know, maybe i will sell mine. my bike has less miles and is in better shape (save for the tires). To think it was only 10 bucks. LOL.
