FS: 1979 Honda CB650 $1200

SOLD

1979 Honda CB 650
$1200.00

The engine was rebuilt in 1999 and has about 8000 miles on it. Spring maintenance is already done and it runs great - new oil, filter, plugs and inline fuel filter.

Passed inspection 5/16/2008.

Minor scratches and a small dent on the tank from the previous owner. This bike consistantly gets me almost 50MPG.

It has a clean title and I’ve purchased a copy of the Shop Manual.

Not mine. If anyone is interested, they can contact the seller. I think he is flexible with the price.

hmmmmm…

Opinion on this being the perfect starter’s bike?

That’s what the owner said about it. It’s a cheap bike to get into riding.
His wife learned on it too.

edit: Missed it the first time through.

I’ll think a little bit about it, if it’s cheap enough, why not? If it’s meant to be a learner, that is.

They are open to “reasonable” cash offers if that helps you any.

My first bike was an '81 CB650C. It was very nice to ride. Comfortable. Fast enough to be fun. Easy to work on. I bought it non-running for $550, dumped the gas, cleaned the carb, replaced the battery, put like 10k on it, then sold it for $900. That was 10 years ago. (Holy fuck when did I get old?)

Anyhow, that thing looks really clean. If anyone is looking for a first bike or just something to cruise around on, this would be a great pick up. Be warned though, having a center-stand will spoil you forever.

kind of interested… im sick of paying for 93 octane and getting 20mpg.

i don’t have a motorcycle license tho, assuming he wouldn’t really mind dropping it off? :stuck_out_tongue:

edit: this would go perfectly with a skullcap helmet, aviators and a scarf.

edit2: and a moustache. i’ll have to glue it to my face though.

I’m sure they could arrange a drop off. He bought another bike so he doesn’t need 2. Call him and go check it out.

BTW, the bike is in the Wheatfield area.

Hell I’ll drop it off for you just to get the chance to ride a CB650 again.

Did one of you guys call to check it out tonight? My coworker just told me someone is checking it out tonight.
