1976 Honda CB750 restored classic motorcycle

I picked this up about a month ago, I really want to keep this thing and cafe it but I am attempting to get into a house and would rather have the cash avaiable for that.

This is a 1976 Honda CB750, restored with available aftermarket parts. It is not on the road, but I have ridden it myself for 7 miles as a shakedown to make sure its good to go. the paint is all new, the seat is re-foamed and re-upolstered, carbs freshly cleaned, and motor maintenance gone through. All it needs is the baffled in the mufflers replaced (or removed for loud pipes) as they are pretty rough. the crome itself is pretty decent. I dislike the hand grips and the bars are surface-rusted, but those are usually changed with each rider for position preference anyway. I am looking for $1200. Cash talks.

For someone that might be interested in a cafe build I have a few parts I will throw in depending on negociation that will get you 90% there.
Clip-on handlebars
clip-on headlight ears to accomodate using clipons where factory headlight ears go
Supersport dual disc front end set-forks, calipers, hoses (needs rebuild kits for the calipers, fork seals, and a second brake disc for the rim)
I would be more than willing to make a mold of my cafe seat I have on my 550 and whip up a fiberglass/kevlar or carbon fiber solo seat fairing for a price as well.

Basically, I will sell as is or will build/help build to someones liking for VERY reasonable monies.

Edit:11/23/10

I took an ass-ton more pictures of any and all problem areas or areas that normally have issues where this bike is tip-top shape. I set these as links so that only seriously interested parties will check them out and not hog up the thread with useless pics for flakers and dreamers.

How many miles on the motor?

Unfortunately the market for classic/vintage bikes right now is very swamped, I’d consider lowering your price if you really want to make a sale.

(for reference, a running GS1100S or KZ750 with relatively low miles go for around $1200 these days.)

I don’t know mileage…I purchased with a bill of sale only, and the gauges appear to have been replaced. I am accepting all offers, I just threw $2k out there as a starting point. If I don’t sell it I will just get a nice exaust, some clip-ons, and a cafe seat and ride it.

Title arrived in the mail today, lets see if I can move this thing $1500!

$1200, I can’t go much lower than this.

Help me buy a house!

Not a bad price for not needing much at all. If I had the cash  I’d throw some clip on’s, a cafe seat, and call it a day.

That is a really nice bike for $1200, doesn’t look cool yet, but it easily could look awesome.

Good luck with the sale Nick.

pretty much was my plan. I even have a set of clip-ons and headlight ears that I could throw in for my current asking price, and Checko has a nice cafe fairing with taillight that would fit right on this thing with some hinges fabbed up…sweet cafe bike for under $1500!!!

Tires are BRAND NEW and it runs like a top.

bump! I can include a dual disc front end setup from a 78 cb750 supersport which needs rebuilt. just buy a disc and rebuild kits on ebay for cheap and throw it on!

to the top!

I would be willing to store for a short while should an interested buyer need it upon purchase.

I have a bunch of parts and related resources for a buyer on where to obtain the rediculous amount of aftermarket performance parts available for these as well as a FANTASTIC forum loaded with knowledgeable members to help in any matters that may come up.

I also can download and print the owners manual and repair manual if requested.

bump
