[COLOR=Black]Decided to sell this. I made a trade deal on it and while it’s a fun quad, not really my thing these days. It seems to run great - setup for mid-to-high RPM. LRD pipe, Keihin 33mm flat side carb, and mild porting are the only mods. Stock bore, stock suspension, plastics, etc. The price reflects the condition - needs some minor tinkering, but runs and drives nice as it is - no major issues. Some say the 250R are the best quads ever made. If you want to keep up with the 450Rs and don’t want to drop $4-6k, this is the way to go.

It needs new A-Arm bearing, steering stem bushing, and maybe swinger but it seems tight. I just bought a new 400ex and I took the 250R down so they could check it out. As noted above, the only things their mechanics said it needed are the bearing/bushing and the carb tuned since it won’t idle. Honestly, the carb on it should be replaced with a better one - like a 35mm PWK - which is close to the stock one.
I know the swinger isn’t from 87 as it would be gold. It could be aftermarket, from a different year (86) or even from a 450R/400Ex. I haven’t looked at it that close yet.
