FS: 1990 jetta with ALH 90 tdi swap

as the topic states i have a 1990 jetta tdi for sale with an alh 90 tdi swap.

here are the details
ALH TDI (MK4) engine & transmission swap. Engine had 20k on it when It swapped it. Now has 85k on it.
It gets roughly 48MPG.
H&R Cup Kit
GLI Recaro front seats
early 3 pt harness seatbelts, non passive
MK3 spindles and brakes up front
Rear disc conversion
g60 flairs
mk4 cluster
saab blackstone IC
Upsolute stage 2 chip
Ball joints, control arms, tie rods, wheel bearings, etc were all new when the swap was done.

since i’ve owned the car i’ve put new rear rotors and pads along with new bearings. i’ve put a new windshield, new e-brake cables, and a new lightly used vnt-15 turbo.

the car just really only needs one thing to be a really smooth ride which is new struts, the h and r cup kit is getting a bit tired and the struts need to be replaced.

i bought the car with 70k on it last december and ever since i’ve put a good 15k on it. this car is unbelievbly reliabe and sooo fun to drive. its honestly more fun to drive then my BT 1.8t golf at times. the torque hits so hard and just pulls. if i’d have to say how fast it is, its about the equivilent to a chipped 1.8t or a stock 2.0t mk5 gti. car put down 130whp and around 260 tq… car also averages between 46-53mpg on average

all said and done, i’m asking 4150 obo. gas prices are going to be going up soon. thats my vwvortex price… shoot me some offers.

Alright, I know somebody who is REALLY interested, talk to you shortly. Is there any rust around the windshield/ does the windshield leak? Any rust on any other parts of the car?

some surface rust, nothing rotting… windshield is brand new and no rust around it from what i remember… really solid car minus the suspension… if the person is interested i can work out a deal with a set of new wietec coilovers that a buddy of mine has for sale.

oh ya, clutch slips slightly under peak torque in 5th… if you romp on it anywhere over 2400 it holds…

it will need a clutch eventually. never slipped on me at the track just when you’re on the freeway and goose it quick.

thanks dude… the diesel/tdi market is nutty… an old 1.6 diesel mk2 with 250k just sold for 3k lol. i’m entertaining offers and i got a tdi gearhead from nebraska that wants it. it may not be a show car but the power plant is the selling point of the car. :nod
