1990 Mazda Miata A package
124,xxx miles
The Good:
Runs Great
Drives even better
Stops well
Decent top
5 Speed (shifts great)
Clutch grabs well
The Bad:
Some rust on the rocker panels in front of the rear wheels (typical for these cars due to plugged drains)
Light hail damage from the storm this past Spring
Parking brake does not work
Needs an inspection sticker
The ignition switch is worn and the key must be wiggled a little to use the wipers and blower fan.
Also, the car has a crankshaft issue described here in this How-to procedure:
http://www.miata.net/garage/hsue/LoctiteCrank1.html
I haven’t performed the procedure, I remedied the issue by simply adjusting the pulley to the correct position and torquing the bolt correctly. If i were keeping the car, I would perform the procedure, when replacing the timing belt, and front main seal.
I reduced the price because I purchased another Miata, and need the space/money.
This car is for someone who is not afraid to turn a wrench. It’s a great car to work on, and is wonderful to drive.
Come look at it/drive it. It sounds much worse in this ad than it actually is. You aren’t likely going to find a more affordable running and driving Miata.
