FS: 1995 Del Sol Vtec w/ 95 Civic Conversion

Its up for sale again, but this time is done.

It was purchased from a friend after hitting the side of a van. He only had it for a month or so. I decided to put a 92-95 Civic hatchback front end on. Airbags did not deploy, but airbag light is on. Frame was pro. straightened. Drives straight and true. I have title in hand, it was not signed over to me yet, and it was not marked salvage. Title is Clean. It is registered, passed inspection, and currently on the road. Only driven about 500 miles since done.

Vehicle specs:
1995 Del Sol Vtec (stock B16)
5 speed
91,763 miles

Interior:
The interior is in good condition. Drivers door panel has the common bubble. Drivers seat bloster has a tear, also common. Just needs to be cleaned. Had Short shifter, CF Shift knob, CF E-brake handle, & CF pedals installed aready when I bought.

Exterior:

Just came out of the body shop a couple weeks ago. A few chips here and there. (one on fender, two inside drivers door, two scratches on the top) This can be touched up or fixed.
Color change from red to silver. Everything has been color changed except engine bay.
Modified metal fenders
Stock 95 civic bumber
Vis CF hood
Black headlights & corner lights

17x7 Voxx Rims Black with Polished lip 4x100 / 4x114.3 42 offset
205/40/17 Nitto NeoGen Tires About 500 miles. Comes with stocks rims too (new tires, one has a slow leak).

JSP Blade CF Spoiler (currently not on car, but comes with, seen in pics)
Exterior: (95 Civic Hatch portion)

What it needs:

Doesn’t want to start all the time. At first it was just a loose starter wire, reconnect it to the starter and it would fire up. Now, I wiggle a few wires and it sometimes works. Really not sure whats going on, but I know its nothing major. Just haven’t had the time to have a Honda Head look at it.

Would replace the suspension at some point. Has cheap coilovers with stock struts, so its clunky and bumpy.

Spoiler holes in trunk have been plugged with rubber interior stoppers. Looks good and keeps water out. Maybe able to have the trunk filled and repainted for a cost. I would get a CF trunk though to complete the look.

No power steering. Never replaced pump after accident, just took off belt.

Asking $6000 obo (may consider partial or full trades… car or motorcycle)

Asking $6000 obo (may consider partial or full trades… car or motorcycle)

All PM’s replied…
Don’t be afraid to make a reasonable offer. Price is not firm.

Please no more low ballers… I was asking $3000 obo before completion, so I will not take that now that its done.

bump for a good seller.

Woah, that looks odd, but clean as hell, minus wing.

I thought del sols never came DOHC… but what do I know. Are you sure it isn’t a D16?

Wanna part the rims?

Odd in a good way, right? Yes, I am sure its a B16. This makes it rare. I’d part with the rims. Hit me with an offer.

trade for my vw

i just got new rims on it

and a flip screen touch screen dvd navigation system

Odd good, very different - del sols look a little different

DOHC del sol? woah

stock motor?

yes from 95+ they made some b16a’d del sols…essentially the same motor in the 97+ civic si’s.

i know he didn’t do a swap, because we have talked about this car many many times before.

“The 1995 del Sol comes in three trim levels, indistinguishable from the exterior except for the badging. The base 1.5-liter S model is powered by a 102-hp 4-cylinder engine, the same engine found in the estimable Honda Civic. The 1.6-liter Si and top-of-the-line VTEC models are powered by single and double overhead cam versions of Honda’s technologically advanced VTEC engine with variable valve timing, producing 125 hp and 160 hp, respectively. Our test car was the del Sol VTEC, which we consider to be the quickest car in its class. It retails at the high end of the del Sol price range: $19,550.”

Just basic info about the car from the factory.

Price Drop Bump

$5500 obo

Not a bad looking car minus the spoiler, however you asking price is a bit out of the ball park for a car with some problems and one that has been in an accident to boot.

I threw out a starting price and will go from there. The best thing about my price is accepting Offers also the option for a trade.

The problems are so minor. Its been starting everyday since I posted and I haven’t touched a thing. Leads me to believe its something loose. As for the accident. Its was fixed correctly and drives straight. That’s all good in my book, but some may not want a car that’s been in an accident at all, so I stated it first in the post. Pretty honest of me huh.

This car itself is rare, but now with the conversion its probably one of twenty in the world. I have only seen about 5 on the net.

$5500 or Make an Offer

i wish it has the EK9 front end

I thought about it, but just seemed to be a little too big.

I was told the problem with it starting here and there is due to the ground wires. So nothing major, just replace a few wires.

Last Price Drop

May drop the price a little lower without the rims.
