1998 Dodge Durango SLT 4x4 with 165k miles on it. 5.2L V8 with automatic transmission. 3rd row seats, CD Player, AC, Power Windows,Locks, and Drivers Seat, Factory Rear Tint, and Rear Air. Gets about 15-16MPG on the highway. Comes with trailer hitch, wiring, and trailer brake.
Mechanically this vehicle is perfect. No issues at all. I trailered my car to Memphis with this and didn’t have any issues. New muffler, semi-new brakes, and BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tires with only a couple thousand miles on them. Oil was changed every 3000. Many misc suspension parts were replaced when I purchased this a year ago. Passed NYS Inspection without issue in June.
Interior is in very good shape. No major stains on the carpet. Plastic is in good shape minus a few small scratches on the sides of the rear area from cargo bouncing around. The driver seat does have a rip in the side of it but it’s only cosmetic. The passenger side visor is broken…been meaning to go to a u-pull-it yard and get one but haven’t had a chance.
Exterior is also in good shape. Largest issues is a rust spot on the rear lift gate and a dent in the passenger side fender. Other than that there are some small scratches here and there and the hood is missing the clear is spots (seems like something was on it at a point and ate through the clear). Overall it cleans up good and shines as you can see in the pics.
Asking $3200obo for it. KBB for fair condition (I say this border’s fair/good) is $3700. Just looking to upgrade to a newer Dodge Ram. Located in Wallace/Avoca, NY. Additional pictures can be seen here: 1998 Dodge Durango SLT
This needs to go. Instead of haggling on a price I’m just going to say $2700 firm…that’s the lowest I’ll go with this and in my mind an insane deal. Hell, the tires alone are $700. With gas prices coming down it’s worth getting something like this for the winter.
holy crap thats 2 hours away on mapquest… could u send me some engine bay pics? how is the rust on the underside? how rusted are the brake lines and fuel lines? you said u did suspension work, so the ball joints, tie rods, wheel bearings are new? any slippage with the tranny? would classify most of the miles as highway?
I can get engine bay pics tonight if you wanted…anything particular you’re looking for? It’s dirty under there and the valve covers were leaking till a couple months ago when I replaced the gasket (most of that is out of sight though).
Rust on the underside is typical for a northern vehicle but nothing to be of concern…just surface rust. Brake and fuel lines are fine.
The suspension work was done where it needed to be done. IIRC it was the drivers side wheel bearing and a couple ball joints. Everything is in spec now though.
Tranny is fine. Like I said it hauled my car to Memphis and back without issue in June so the whole drive train is strong. Most of the miles since I’ve had it are highway and according to the previous owner he said the same thing…he lived in Erie and commuted to Pittsburgh regularly.
you can email them to me if it is easier than posting bkrakowski@gmail.com
I’m just trying to go over everything I would go over in person ya know?
If I wanted to get it, would I be able to use your plates to drive it home, I expect not and I don’t exactly have a trailor for a SUV or dealer plates…
