$2500???

Is their something about $2,500 OBO you do not understand ?

I think that was a sort of sticker shock. I mean its the look you get when someone asks 35K for a civic.

No, I understand. I also understand its not worth it but GLWS.

I hope those decals can come off, glws.

It’s hard to tell, is this the Z34 edition?

I think so. Wait… ‘looks at pic.’ Yep. Unless it is a typo.

I will try to annswer these quiestions the best i can.My brother will know more about it than i do.

Does the sunroof work? As far as i know yes, just leaks.

Stock radio included? I put that radio in my Caprice a wile ago,so no.However i do have a basic AM/FM that could be put in it for now.

What kind of graphics are those? (Vinyl, painted on, etc) Vinyl…

What does the oil look like? Don’t know.

Does it lose any coolent? Not that i know of.

What color is the coolent? If i had to guess i’d say it looks good.Rad was replaced not long ago.

Rust? Not sure, from what i could see its not bad at all.Car looks/seems quite solid.

Stock Intake included? Yes,i believe he still has it.

Why is the A-pillar trim missing? Don’t know.

is it included? Not sure if he has it still or not.

Front Bowtie included? Don’t think he has one.

VIN for carfax? I’ll try and get that for you as soon as i can.

And lastly, how firm is the price? Not real firm,i think he would go down some.

Yes they can,just vinyl graphics.

didnt they stop making the z34 edition in like 94

Not that i know of.

Hey - a little elbow grease and it’s the next Lightning McQueen…

That would be a Lumina.

This is the Monte Carlo, they had 3800 series 200 hp V6 engine, only on the Z34.
Also machine-faced aluminum wheels and different interior temperature controls are available with the Z34. They also had a 3.29 tranny.

3800’s rock

Partially right.

95-97 Monte Carlo’s had the 3.4L in them, 98-99 had the 3.8L. 95-98 (possibly just 97-98) had rear disc brakes, while 99 got rear drums. Temperature controls were dual climate, but could be had as an option on the non-Z34. Also, the Machine Faced rims (on this car) were optional, not standard. And I believe the gear ratio you mention might be wrong, but I have to check on that.

The Z34 (or LTZ if you had a lumina) was basically the front bumper with open grill (only the bow tie) and no chrome trim, the rear spoiler (optional on the others), the 3.8L motor optional, and the decals. With the lumina, you could get an LTZ as just an appearance package (with the 3.1L) or the performance package (with the 3.8L), which might be the same with the Monte Carlo.

All in all, fun cars, as I have had 2 98 LTZs. And putting a Supercharged L67 in a 98/99 Z34/LTZ is easier than any other year.

And that’s more than you wanted to know about them…

And the Color of the coolent (red or green) is important as well as the color of the oil (chocolate milk?) as the 3.8L NA motor does have issues with the upper intake.

You’d probably have better luck with this on www.mymonte.com
