HISTORY: I am the second owner of the car, and have driven it for approx. 10k miles since purchasing it private party in Baltimore in the beginning of this year. I purchased it from someone selling on www.evolutionm.net, at request I can provide his and my username on that forum, as we both have 100% trader ratings there, he has had over 30 transactions buying and selling parts, I only have a few.
REASON FOR SELLING: A long story short, I unexpectedly owe UB $6600, and untill its paid off I can’t continue there or graduate or anything. I don’t have any other assetts to sell, and I don’t want to take out a loan to pay it off, so my only option is to sell the evo. If you’d like more details, please PM me
THE GOOD: Other than exhaust / intake which were both removed before I purchased the car, it has seriously remained basically stock. This car has been babied since birth! The clutch is slipping now, but it’s still the stock clutch!! This may not seem like a big deal to those who don’t know, but the evo stock clutch usually gets burned out before 20k miles. This is verified with a quick search on www.evolutionm.net if you aren’t aware… but since this car is still on the stock clutch at 38k, its a testament to how the car was treated. The previous owner babied the car, and if he hadn’t the clutch would have been raped way before now. The oil has been changed with Mobil 1 every 3k or less, I have a few extra mitsu filters that weren’t used that I can throw in. The car will be sold with all routine maintenace completed, such as timing belt, fluids, etc. New Dunlop FM901’s were put on in the last 3 months. Comes with hardwired V1!
THE BAD: The clutch is slipping. The car is completely driveable, however the clutch will slip at WOT, which is very obnoxious. I got a quote from Hybrid, and it would be $600 for labor, and an OEM replacement clutch is $410. Also, my car was hit in the bumper next to the rear driver’s wheel and there is a small section of paint removed. It could easily be touched up and unnoticeable for cheap, or the bumper could be totally resprayed for a couple hundred. The rear driver’s wheel was also hit in the accident and is pretty rashed. The rash could be repaired, but individual stock Enkei’s sell on evo sites for ~$150.
Thanks,
Adam
