71 Buick 350 motor. 85k complete long block oil pan to air cleaner, might have an accessory or two still on it. 2 barrel carb. Not sure if it is 2 or 4 bolt as I have not pulled the pan off. ran when pulled. Need it out of the garage, so $150 picked up gets it.

283 block, crank, pistons, and heads. believe it is a truck block and hte heads are from a full size car from the late 60’s or early 70’s. Can get numbers off it tonight. Close to free if you pick it up.

Make offers and come get them. Need to clean out the house.

Might need to be honed or bored. There is a little rust in one or two of the cylinders from sitting. Doesn’t look bad.

Probably will need to be checked.

Also have pistons/rods, oil pump/pickup, and some misc parts.

how much for the gauges and are u willing to trade

i think your 8’s and 3’s might be a bit blurry… so this is the best I can do.

  • the heads are most likely the 3795896 283ci, 1.72 intake/ 1.5 exhaust variant offered from 1963-67

  • the block is either the 3849852 283ci 220hp, 2bolt main block from a car or truck 1957-66, OR 3949852 283ci block of unknown hp, 2bolt main from an unknown vehicle type, 1956-67. might wanna wire brush the #s, not sure what you’re dealing with but this is all i have

The block is the first one. The 8 is actually about an inch before it. and it was a 2 bolt main block.

The heads are most likely the ones you have stated.

Going to be pulling the oil pan and valve covers on the 350 to get the numbers from there.

Any info on that block?

New pictures of the motor: http://bizio.no-ip.org/forsale/CarParts/71%20Buick%20350/index.html

Little more info. The motor turns freely and smoothly. I drained the oil tonight and it looked good, maybe a little on the dirty side. Block is still full of coolent, which will be coming out this week. Pulled the driver’s side valve cover off and everything looks good there. Will have to replace the valve cover gasket though.

Overall the motor looks dirty, and probably could use new gaskets(due to age), but a good candidate to use. It is on an engine stand now, which can be included for an extra $50 if the buyer wants(1000lbs). Will not sell the stand separate.

Make me an offer for it picked up. i don’t have a truck, so no delivery, and I don’t have a hoist, so take that into account when picking it up (reason I put it on the stand now while I was borrowing one)

$150/bo takes it.
