FS: 88 CRX si B18 swap $1200

I am selling my 1988 CRX si with a 91 integra ls motor and tranny. This thing flies!! I just had the motor rebuilt with all oem parts. Block was magnafluxed and resleaved .20 over. Stock compression .20 over pistons. Head was decked and lightly polished with new valves, springs, and seats. XTR stage 2 clutch with street disc. Grabs awesome! Tranny is the original tranny out of the integra with 106K miles. Shifts smooth with no grinds no clunks no rattles.

After the motor was rebuilt it seemed like the rings never seated. It burns oil and the compression is low. 160 across the board. I believe the compression should be 190. So I ordered new rings for it and since I was tearing it apart again I bought a set of .20 over Integra type r pistons which will bump the compression to 11.9 to 1. However, I didn’t get around to tearing it apart yet and I’m trying to buy a dsm because I need more than a two seater as I have a family of 3. Car runs and drives but smokes like crazy. Its spray bombed primer and the original color is red. Black housing projector headlights and corners. Interior is gutted behind the seats. Has red racing seats but the passengers recliner is broke. 5" autometer monster tach with shift light. It is lowered with a set of eibach springs on a new pair of super light weight 13" steelies. Tires are good. It has a huge 4 to 1 DC sports header on it. New plugs, MSD wires, cap, rotor. Brand new rotor’s and pads all the way around. New tire rods. Place racing motor mounts.

I have invested $3200. I would like to get half that back so If you purchase this at $1600 I will include a NOS wet kit, used but never on this vehicle so you would have to buy new jets for it.

$1600 or best offer. Title just got here today and is free and clear.

Seats have no name on them. Being that the pass. recliner is broke i’d guess cheap ebay seats.
Car is located in Syracuse, NY. If someone paid with paypal i’d be willing to drive it to them. I’ve had back surgery and don’t work so I have nothing but time on my hands!

If you look in the pics you can see someone shaved the moldings. What you can’t see in the pics is that they just filled it with bondo.

There is surface rust on the power moonroof (still works) but really no rust anywhere else. The kid I got the car from told me when he stipped all the pieces out of the rear it was filled with sand. Not sure where the car is from originally but deffinately not NY.

Car is somewhat local to me, if i needed anther Crx i would consider coming to check it out.

But by looking at the pics, it does look like it has possibly had some rear 1/4 panel work done to it.

I’m sorry. I thought I did. Like I stated before, he filled the moldings in with fiberglass. The only real rust is on the moonroof and the drivers rear 1/4. Its all surface rust. If you look on the drivers 1/4 you can see where the bondo chipped off and there’s only surface rust underneath. If you look at the one picture of the pass. 1/4 you can see a small dime size spot of rust starting a couple of inches above the wheel well. Anymore questions just let me know. Thanks.
