Very sad to see it go but the reason for selling is I am looking to get into a AWD car DD (EVO), need to sell to pay off some bills and for some down payment money as well… So here it goes:
1992 Prelude with H22a swap (60k on engine) and turbo setup (<6k since turbo). Running at 8psi with Garrett gt28r, upgrade fuel system; pump, injectors. Full 3" turbo back, all custom work; done by Hybrid Connection. Tuned by Mike at innovative tuning and made 299whp and 233wtq. ACT Xtreme street clutch, engages as the day I got it. Very strong runner, conservative tune and has been babied for past 5 years since I owned it. Last year had work done cutting out rear quarters and replacing so no rust issue there.
Also has KYB adjustabel shocks with Eibach Prokit springs on 17" motegi FF7 currently wrapped in Falken Azenis tires with 80%+ tread left. JDM black headlights installed, and also replaced sunroof with glass one from 97+ prelude (for black tinted glass instead of white metal).
Interior: Interior in great shape, inside converted from 92-93 style center console to 94+. Sound system upgraded with Sony Headunit, 2 10" audiobahn subs / audiobahn amp. Alarm system installed as well.
Im sure theres some I’m forgetting but pm with any other questions and I can get back with specifics and/or questions.
Looking around $7000/OBO and as of right now am seeing what kind of response I get on it before listing it in a few other places. More pics avail upon request. Let me know what you all think, opinions/suggestions welcome.
did you build the bottom end at all? i really like it it’s super clean. what kinda mpg does the h22 get? just out of curiosity, not like anyone would buy this to be economical. i’ve only owned smaller b series. glws!
Thanks all for compliments. If i could afford the payments I got on top of a new car payment I would keep it for occasional fun.
jdmEK9gsr: Nope it is a completely stock block and it has been getting around 17-22mpg… depending on how its driven. Not horrible by any means. Oh and the tranny is not LSD, that was next project.
Does not burn oil or smoke, no knocking or ticks. Engine still runs as smooth and clean as the day I swapped it in.
It by no means has been beat on, but it has seen some “spirited” driving, just like any car. I can say however that since driving it I am fully confident in the engines safety and stressed at tuning that I did not want to have a ticking time bomb under my hood and wanted it to have as long of a life as possible with still having decent power gains.
I did also find that the exact mileage since having the turbo installed is just under 6k miles ago.
