1994 Formula with 161k and still going strong. Car was driven by a women who is now in her mid 50s every day for work. They lived in mid/south Ohio. The husband worked at a repair shop similar to a midas or monro in NY.
I bought the car, put a tranny in it that has about 20k miles on it. The originally tranny was still in it and never rebuilt!! I drive it just about every day and would not hesitate to take it on a long trip.
Issue #1 - driver side rear exhaust manifold bolt is broke and the leak makes noise until it warms up and closes the leak. You can clearly see the missing bolt head. Easily fixed by switched to headers.
Issue #2 - tires are pretty worn and will need replaced. I have not had it inspected this year since I haven’t replaced the tires yet. I was going to replace them and ask $3400, but figured I would let the next owner choose the tires.
Engine makes no strange noises, no engine lights, and runs great. No fluid leaks. It has great oil pressure, no smoke, blow by, or other issues. It was obviously well taken care of. The rear is a posi 2.73 and I do have series 2 3.42 gears for it. I also have an aluminum drive shaft as well - figured I would put it in when the gears were changed.
Body is very good. A few minor blemishes, but paint is shiny and looks very nice - look at the pics.
Inside is very nice. Only issues are the carpet has a wear through spot by driver’s feat. The console cover does have a broke hinge as most do that are this old. No tears in the seats. Power windows, locks, and mirrors all work.
It does have TA wheels on it from I believe a 99 or 00 - they are the twisted ones.
This car is 14 years old and has high miles. It has been well maintained, but is far from perfect and the price reflects it. You can get in the car and drive it anywhere and not worry about it.
