Body is in good shape for a Civic this age. There is NONE of the Typical Honda body rot, the car has not even begun to rot through. Car is not from NY, which explains the decent body on it. The only rust on the car is the surface rust that has just barely started. The body is solid and the quarter panels have never been retouched or reworked.
The Bad:
Check Engine light is on due to a faulty O2 sensor, minor problem and does not need immediate attention. Car does have a valid NYS inspection.
There is a dent and scrape on the passenger rear quarter with a small amount of surface rust just starting.
Front axle may need to be replaced.
Sunroof motor is weak.
Car is completely stock. I bought it from my cousin to use as a daily driver with plans to drop my b18 into it. I no longer wish to do that, i currently have 3 cars licensed, registered and insured on the road and i cannot afford to continue to do that, so this has to go.
Car runs solid, shifts smoothly and is a perfect candidate for a swap.

VERY INTERESTED… I will be home from college in 2 weeks and this is exactly what i am looking for, i’ve got cash… can you give me any more details, 95accordvtec is my buddy and gave me the heads up… Did you get an estimate on the dent? Also, what is the black stuff on the side of the car is that rust? Anything else I should be concerned about or know???
well you are, so if you are not interested, please do not reply.
No i did not get an estimate on the dent. Body work was the last thing on my mind when i bought this. I just wanted it to put my b18 swap into and since the body was fairly straight and virtually rust free, i was not going to worry about it yet, but it is not bad at all.
The “Black stuff” on the side is the side moldings. My cousin (who was the previous owner) masked off the side moldings, sanded the moldings down and had them painted white to match the car. This was done about 2 yrs ago and it is just now chipping away, exposing the original color of the moldings.
Thats good news, I’m gonna try and get my dad to come down and look at it soon if things are ok, i’ll try and work something out to where i can put a security deposit or something down to hold it until im home the 29th and can pay for it. Can i get a number to contact you? That way my dad can arrange a time/day to see the car.
I’m having someone contact you this weekend who is in Buffalo, his name is Bob and he’s just going to get some more info about the axles, and maybe some other stuff, just giving a heads up, Thanks.
You have a GSR motor, which is a B series motor and are going to put it in a car that has a D Series motor in it. The axles for the motors are different and you will need to get B series axles in order for it to work.
Info update!
I purchased and registered the car 3 weeks ago. As we all know how speedy the NYS DMV is with getting titles back to new owners, they told me it would take 6-8 weeks for the title to come in and that is unacceptable, especially since i am trying to sell the car now. But good news, I called the DMV Title Bureau in Albany last week and had them put a RUSH on the title, so it should be here this week sometime, no problems.
I have now taken the car off the road and taken my insurance coverage off of it, so it is more or less ready to go.
