Hows the clutch? How are the brakes? Where are you located?

Deffinately not a cold air intake!

That’s a Right Next to the Hot Exhaust Manifold Air Intake.

I just want something that will do decent in winter and hopefully last a while as a daily driver in spring/summer on my long school days (gotta go from Akron to GCC, then to ECC north for my EMT recert class then back to Akron every tues/thurs…Thats alot of driving for the TA which gets like 13-14 mpg).

Put sandbags in the trunk of the neon…and you’ll be good Jeg. Neons are very ‘‘ass lite’’ in the winter.

CAI on a SOHC Neon = impossible

No harder than a DOHC…

Werd. They hande good in the snow with decent snow tires right?

arent too bad…but aren’t good either. my saturn was better w/o bags.

Ahhh werd.

I suppose not, my ACR had a snorkel from a Caravan, it fit right between the battery and fan.

That’s what I have on my ACR. 3.0L intake tube from any Dodge 3.0L

Yeah, I had one as well. Then I got an intake manifold with hte 90 eliminated and made my own…

Ooooo…where can I get one of those manifolds? Mark is selling a cut manifold…but i dont think it has the flange??

Mine was totally custom from the runners back. Find someone who can tig and you can make one easily enough.

it has the TB flange still

I had a 99 2 door expresso DOHC that i did the same intake on. Added some pipe to the 3.0L intake tube and the filter was so close to the ground you could see a corner of it sticking out under the bumper. Really loud and it echo’d off the pavement nicely. I drove mine threw winter with all seasons on it and it was a beast. Really light in the ass but that just made it fun.

The clutch and tranny are fine. No grinds in the gears and no slippage. I just did the brakes last month when inspection was done. Location: cheektowaga

Damn this is making me miss my old neon. I had a 95 highline SOHC ATX. She was spot less though. Sold it for 1k with new brakes/tires/gas tank/head gasket…i should have asked for more.
