FS: 96 mustang modded

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang auto. 114,000 mils. First off the car will come wih a 5-Speed for a Ford 3.8 Mustang. This 5-speed is complete with everything but shifter knob. I was told it will bolt right into the mustang and to the 3.8 engine but if I were you I would get a stage 2 or 3 clutch. The clutch that comes with the 5-speed will work but you might as well upgrade it wile it’s out right? Also the car will come with an M90 supercharger for a Ford 3.8 Mustang or a Ford 3.8 Supercoupe. The supercharger is off a 91 or so Ford Supercoupe with about 80,000 miles. The supercharger is complete with everything except fuel injectors and belts. I was going to sell the 5-speed and supercharer seperate but thought I would be able to move the car faster if I included them in the sale.Up untill yesterday 4/7/09 the mustang ran great! Today the head gasket went and i took it from my house to the shop (4 blocks away) and thats where it sits. I have replaced the rear end with an 8.8 rear end from a 95 GT and put in the 4.10 gears.Made the stang posi which really woke it up. I also put true dual exhaust made from the exhaust from a 95 GT with off road H-pipe and all. The shop that did the work was able to install the air sensos so that the check engine light wouldn’t go off. I replacd the rotors with slotted and drilled racing rotors as well. It also has a cold air intake too. Since Ive had the car I have replaced the radiator, ecu, breaks, one caliper, tires, front ball joints, thermistat, belt, and headlights. The original headlights were getting that yellow tint so I put in new ones. When the passenger front ball joint was replaced the mechanic ripped the rubber casing so now there is a squeek when the car goes up and down from weight. The bad with the car is someone backed into the right front fender and put small dent, passenger side mirror has a crack in it but was glued back. I took out the airconditioning and put in a bi pass pully in (still have the airconditioning). Need to sell the car due to school bills and the fact my job just went out of busines (Montana’s). Please call my fiance he knows more about the car then I do. My name is Laura and his is Jamie. His number is 716-316-0909 thanks also can e-mail jamiers_2_zags@hotmail.com ut prefer calls… thanks. try and get you pics too…

fock, nice save! That looked like alotta WORDS!

wow thanks  lol. What he said, and asking $4,000 and pics will be up soon… sorry for the trouble but just happened and I was kinda not in the mood for writing this crap up. As far as im concerned I would just like it gone!

Soooo 4 grand for a 96 auto v6 beat ass mustang that doesnt run?

Sounds like a steal! Great price and GLWS!!!

hahahhaha. Sorry, I can’t help but laughing at $4,000 for that.

If you end up parting out the car, which would get you wayyyy more money than you would trying to sell a broken car that doesnt run in my opinion. I would take the 8.8 rearend off your hands for the right price.

well the car is mint and the sc kit is complete and the 5-speed is complete. ok car worth $2,985 good condition on kbb.com… so with that, plus m90 kit and entire 5-speed… worth it. i live in buffalo peope arond here have 7 to 8 months of winter to change a head gasket and do the mods… its worth $4,000…

umm what?

look again and do the research…

Sorry you hadn’t posted any options. If there are more options, you should post them, it will help your sale.

So a blown headgasket, dents, cracks with glue holding it together… What makes you think this any better than fair condition if that? Honestly with a blown h/g you are going to be VERY LUCKY to get $1000… Like everyone else said just part it out

wow… i sold my 2000 gt for 3500… glws.

lol I was wasted when i read and aswered your post… sorry for the hostility Im kinda in a bad spot (no stang and all) next time ill include all options…

Really, that’s all you got for it?

Would have thought the IRS and fresh tranny would have helped more…

Well, GLWS OP. Try some local mustang meets to see if anyone wants to pick it up.

lol

I think the exhaust is off of my friend’s car.

The car is 13 years old with over a hundred thousand miles on it, and isnt in good running condition judging by the description. I sold my 1999 GT which was in great shape and only had 76000 miles on it, for 5800. You’re not gonna get 4000 for this unless you find a sucker lol. But good luck anyway.

And FYI, “mint” cars dont have dents and cracks and broken parts.

Vehicle Condition Ratings

Excellent

“Excellent” condition means that the vehicle looks new, is in excellent mechanical condition and needs no reconditioning. This vehicle has never had any paint or body work and is free of rust. The vehicle has a clean title history and will pass a smog and safety inspection. The engine compartment is clean, with no fluid leaks and is free of any wear or visible defects. The vehicle also has complete and verifiable service records. Less than 5% of all used vehicles fall into this category.

http://file.kbb.com/kbb/Images/wsr/nchub/ucpop_check.gifGood (Selected)

“Good” condition means that the vehicle is free of any major defects. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and interior have only minor (if any) blemishes, and there are no major mechanical problems. There should be little or no rust on this vehicle. The tires match and have substantial tread wear left. A “good” vehicle will need some reconditioning to be sold at retail. Most consumer owned vehicles fall into this category.

Fair

“Fair” condition means that the vehicle has some mechanical or cosmetic defects and needs servicing but is still in reasonable running condition. This vehicle has a clean title history, the paint, body and/or interior need work performed by a professional. The tires may need to be replaced. There may be some repairable rust damage.

Poor

“Poor” condition means that the vehicle has severe mechanical and/or cosmetic defects and is in poor running condition. The vehicle may have problems that cannot be readily fixed such as a damaged frame or a rusted-through body. A vehicle with a branded title (salvage, flood, etc.) or unsubstantiated mileage is considered “poor.” A vehicle in poor condition may require an independent appraisal to determine its value. Kelley Blue Book does not attempt to report a value on a “poor” vehicle because the value of cars in this category varies greatly.

Blue Book Private Party Value

Private Party Value is what a buyer can expect to pay when buying a used car from a private party. The Private Party Value assumes the vehicle is sold “As Is” and carries no warranty (other than the continuing factory warranty). The final sale price may vary depending on the vehicle’s actual condition and local market conditions. This value may also be used to derive Fair Market Value for insurance and vehicle donation purposes.
