Spares including two sets of wheels, another tank that is in good shape but not painted, another swingarm, another set of lever bases and master cylinders, another set of brakes, two more sets of forks with stock internals, a parts engine, a set of stock carbs, anther tripple clamp and subframe. He also has a box of various bolts, axles, things of that nature. Stack of extra used gears, and a spare clutch (with springs). The clutch on the bike is in perfect operating condition. Comes with front and rear bike stands. The Bike has a few scrapes on it (not pictured, but I can get photos if you want to see) on the gas tank, and on the left fairing. Otherwise in great condition.
$5000 firm. Bike is located in Detroit, but I can help work on transport as the owner comes to Rochester from time to time and I travel to Detroit.
might want to list the mods, too, I’m sure it has a lot done to it. hindle high mount exhaust (slip on or full)? vortex sprockets, 520 chain conversion? some aftermarket rearsets. Vortex maybe? ss brake lines? swingarm spools, frame sliders, case covers with sliders, I’d assume it to have a steering damper of some sort? What company makes the bodywork?
those look like rain tires, what tires come on the bike? or is there a spare set of wheels w/regular tires also?
Rick, he’s actually been “selling” it for awhile. Just not actively. Bikes dont exactly sell at the end of the year very well. It may very well be available in Feb. He’s also selling his GSX-R, just bought a Triumph 675!
“Galfer brake lines, Factory covers, CFM rearsets, Vortex clipons, standard Hindle race exhaust, 520 chain, frame sliders, Scott’s steering damper, Penske rear shock. The engine is a blueprint with a thin headgasket, redegreed cams, and the carbs are modified. The bike is prepared to Superstock specs. I have no idea who made the bodywork, I’m pretty sure this is the set I made by taking pieces other people threw away and glassed them together. The color ended up being more purple than we intended, but whatever.”
that’s weird. he said factory covers, but the pics obv illustrate case covers with sliders. the clutch side slider appears to even have already been down in a crash
am i missing something? or is he not including them with the sale?
Honestly, it’s not going to happen. You’ll have more money invested in getting it street legal(ish) than it’d cost to get a legal one in the first place.
I think it mostly would just need the lights, but they’re $$$$. I also don’t know what the title is, it might be off-road only or something. I could ask, but I don’t think it’d be a good idea to turn it into a street bike.
