hks 5 speed gearbox extremely short throw shifter and hks 6 speed shift knob

dont know much else about this guys except the following

it uses straight cut gears that put more power to the ground (less loss)
apparently there goo for upto 1000 hp

retail is 10,400 from hks

apparently its a hollinger dogbox that hsk modified to there specs

YEah seriously use it. Theres no sensing in teasing everyone here. I highly doubt anyone will buy it. That thing is serious business, not for the street. Last time I checked there are like 4-5 guys that have track 240s and thats it.

You might get some hits on the US forums.

Is there a spot for a speed sensor?? Isn’t the starter on the opposite side of the tranny VS s13 and s14 SRs???

well im pretty sure its an s15, ill try to dig up a part number somehwere on it to confirm

if so, then there woudlnt be a speed sensor since s15 uses its diff for theirs

and im not sure about the starter being on the other side, i cant picture my old s13 tranny, but your prolly right

and your right pete, ive got two interested parties in canada, one kinda local, one in bc

and two more in the states

i didnt really wanna post pics here since i think it will be a watse of time, but alot of people just wanted to see pics, so i figured coudlnt hurt

and i cant use it boyos, i picked up a gtr after selling my 180sx

thats an s13/14 hks 6spd tranny…
im 99% sure that the overall shape for bellhousing and starter location was changed for the
s15…
sick tranny, sick deal…they are so much fun to use on teh track !

Can anyone confirm if this is a direct bolt on for an s13?

The starter looks like to be on the same side as the S13/S14 (i.e. our passenger side). You can see the little bulge (that houses the starter) that’s right above the the clutch slave cylinder which is on our passenger side as well. You can see the pic of the engine where the starter is and it’s on our passenger side as well.

skillz, if s14 s13 sr trannies can used amongst each other, then this will work for you

the gearing on this thing is crazy tight, and the short throw shifter is shorter then anything ive experienced

im having a hard time picking out 6 gears,

hks does make a 5 speed doggy, so i think it might be that, altho it came with an hks 6 speed knob

im going to go outside and keep playing with it till im certain

gears are mere mm’s from each other, ide definately miss some shifts

so is this thing 100% working order then?

all gears go in and out fine, but if it is a true 6 spd, then going from R -1 to 2-3 is wicked close

i feel like im still in R-1 most times, the gearing is super super tight

if this was a 5 speed, i could pick out the gears no problem

the tell tale sign will be 6th gear, which is all by itself on the far right

ill let you know soon enough

plus, these are rebuildable, and at my price, you could rebuild it a few times lol

people keep telling my im either crazy or stupid for selling it so cheap, but meh

that transmission is serious. if i was an experienced driver id so pick that up id love to have a 6 speed in a 240sx good luck with your sale dude!
