So here’s the deal, I’m NOT hurting for money, but would love this to go to someone who has more time than I do. I’ll be going back to school in January, and as such, will have little time to enjoy this little guy. Now that I’ve said that, here’s the details.
He was bought last year around July, born the month prior. Rest assured animal is in great health, purchased from a breeder (facility inspected by yours truly to make sure it met my standards), never misses a meal. Animal weighs in at 450grams, which is just shy of 1 pound. For the age and sex of the animal, it is considered great.
Please note, this is NOT the same one as I previously had for sale. This has been in my care for the majority of it’s life (all but one month).
For those that don’t know, Ball Pythons are up there with corn snakes in ease of care. Definitely a great begginer snake, doesn’t need a lot of space (can be housed in a 20-30gal when full grown) doesn’t bite and easy to handle. Out of the reptiles I own, snakes are the easiest to take care of. For what it’s worth, I’m definitely more experienced than your average keeper of reptiles, but no expert.
In sight of a few questions I’ve received, care is as follows:
Daily
Daily water change
Spot cleaning (if there’s poop, clean it up)
Keep the UTH plugged in so the snake gets it’s belly heat, though if you can, keep temps in the room up, a heat lamp could help in this, but my reptile room is warm all year round so I needn’t worry about a heatlamp.
Weekly
Weekly feeding, this one here takes a rat pup or adult mouse. Depending on where you get it, food is $2-$5 per week.
When in shed, mist tank, or just put him in a damp pillowcase for a few minutes.
Irregularly
Change substrate every month (2 if you spot clean regularly) a bail of aspen shaving is like $12 bucks at wal-mart, and will last the better part of a year. Another alternative is coco-chips which can be found at garden supply stores (Please note, not coco-fiber)
When you’re changing the substrate, disinfect the tank, this can be done numerous ways, but I prefer to use a 2:1 solution of water to vinegar. Avoid any noxious chemicals.
Asking price is $240>180OBO.
Price includes: Ball Python, 20g tank (with contents) with locking metal wire lid, and UTH (OR heatlamp the choice is yours). Will clean and put new substrate in before pick-up.
Located in Brampton, Ontario. Close to Mavis and Steeles. I don’t drive, so pick-up is a must. Or Delivery for a small fee.
