This CA18DET was purchased from Rafi, the CA18DET specialist from Ottawa in April of 2006. The car has only been driven on the street, and the motor has never been abused. Boost has always been set to 8psi. It was fully rebuilt to stock specs by him with the addition of a HKS 1.2mm headgasket and ARP headstuds. The oil has also been religiously changed every 3000kms with full synthetic. Here is what is included with the motorset for $1600obo:

  • rebuilt ca18det motor
  • transmission
  • stage 3 clutch
  • redtop sr20 T25 turbo
  • 440cc injectors
  • ECU
  • Uncut wiring harness
  • Igniter chip
  • upgraded 90amp alternator
  • ARP head studs
  • HKS 1.2mm headgasket
  • intercooler piping (no IC core or BOV)
  • stock turbo extension
  • 3 inch downpipe

I also have other goodies available but this stuff will cost extra if you want it:

  • S14 T28 ball bearing turbo

The motor is currently installed and running and the car is still in storage. The motor should be available for viewing (running in the car) by April 25th at the latest.

I would only like to sell the extra crap if the person that buys the CA wants it. I would rather keep the extras for my SR.

Rafi is still at it? I remember him from my old pulsar days, he was building CA18’s for FWD pulsars back then. This was like early 2002. Sorry to clutter the thread but for any potential buyers this engine should hold out for you, the man who built it knows his CA’s.
